THE SILENT RAGE is a Heavy/Power metal band from Greece. This metal act was originally formed by guitarist and vocalist Nikos Siglidis and drummer Vasilis Chamos and their debut release was a rehearsal demo in 2006 under the name "Perished In Flames". The band has undergone numerous line-up changes, released in 2009 a five track EP called "The Silent Rage", performed several live shows and was featured in two magazine compilations.

In February 2011 THE SILENT RAGE entered the studios to record this new EP under the title "Harvester Of Souls", which contains 3 old songs and 2 new ones. The sound is melodic power, solid and heavy, accompanied by the very good vocal performance by Dionisis Kontis. The occasional addition of harsh vocals by Nikos Siglidis fits also the general atmosphere very well. The songs flow, they keep your interest, there's nothing there to make you feel bored or wanting to skip to the next song. I totally enjoyed the guitar riffs and the obvious hard work and musicianship behind the compositions, while the overall production is more than decent, having in mind that this is a demo release. For me the song that really stands out from this EP is the opening track "Perished In Flames".

"Harvester Of Souls" prepares the way for the band's first full-length album called "Inner Scars" and it actually does a damn good job as it proves that the Greek Power Metal scene has some really strong and notable bands to present. THE SILENT RAGE is a band I'd definitely recommend to the fans of the genre.
