TEMPEL is Instrumental Metal band from the US - Phoenix,Arizona. Foundation stone has been placed back in 2003 by two musicians that found themselves lurking within dark and melancholic winds of instrumentalist sounds. TEMPEL combines dark and progressively grim approach, yet the ease comes via all the elements of Melodic Metal and sometimes even Shoe-gaze tune.

This collection of dark color starts with a heavy-tuned "Cravings In The Door"; a downpath of emotions and personal rel-easement. During this 8 and half minutes of grey and darkly mold atmosphere you can sense the influence of Progressive Metal. Not so much to tell, but there's no actual need to. A blend of drumming tempo collides within glum distortions. Heading forward to "The Moon Lit Our Path"; not so different from the first song I just listened, yet it is, the sludge and droning sound is echoing within this emptiness, yet it shines with signs of freedom. Not a song that you'll enjoy during your late night resting with a glass of wine, but a good good material to think about your next moves, as good as a good book. "Tomb Of The Ancients" starts with an acoustic few minutes of complete calmness and all of the sudden you end up in Doomic era of heavy and harsh feeling, then, at some point you are lurking above sounds of mid-90's Swedish Melodic Death Metal sound, as is you're listening to some ABLAZE MY SORROW, EDGE OF SANITY and AT THE GATES. Exiting point of the album is "Dawn Breaks Over The Ruins". Almost exact start as the previous one, an acoustic restfulness yet again it hits you back; the feral sound rises as almost as a Phoenix. Within this numera you sense the Post Metal additions, even some Post Black Metal andor New Wave Black Metal adds. Recalling me so much of the great French band YEAR OF NO LIGHT and placing itself at the top, a top track of this album.

I am not quite sure how many people I know will enjoy this release, but I know I found lots and lots of points where I raised and flied over the greyness, over the grimly space in my life. I suggest you, friendly, to try this album, maybe you'll find a new formula for issues you're dealing with at this moment or at least, you'll hear something quite new, not familiar to yourselves.
