Live In Atlanta

SAVAGE CIRCUS is not the first band in the world that releases a DVD while having only one album in their arsenal (KRUX comes also in mind right now). I'm sorry to say this but no mater what good intentions the band (or their company) might had with this release in my eyes this is just a quick cash in based in the success of the first (really good) album.
Live In Atlanta was recorded in... Atlanta, during the band's performance at last year's Prog Power Festival over there (now that's a good festival). Regarding the bands abilities on stage there's no doubt that these dudes are really good players and definitely fine tuned (though don't expect an exploding performance or something like that). About the music... well I guess it is wiser to read the review for the actual album (on a personal I really liked the album).
As a recording the whole package smells amateurism: the sound and picture quality can be considered average compared with the today's standards when it comes to a music DVD. Apart the couple cameras staged in the venue there isn't a lot to see while the worst part is that the colours look watered down for some reason (probably not that much of a lighting in the club). The extra footage are also extremely poor: a pictures gallery, the video for Evil Eyes and a handycam crafted walkthrough with the band.
So does it really worthy of its money? No. sorry but I really don't see a point having both the album and the DVD of SAVAGE CIRCUS considering the fact that the second one doesn't offer anything worthy.
