Government Denies Knowledge

I simply can't recall the last time Massacre Records released a good Death Metal album. Probably because they never did! Neither do they do with Requiem and Government Denies Knowledge. Come on, guys! Stick to Power Metal where you are good at. Damn, even the front cover on this one cried out No Michael, please don't listen to this one - Remember what your doctor told you? Stop listening to albums that raise the blood pressure in your brain.
Requiem formed in 1997. In early 1998 they recorded a Mini-CD called Prophecies Of A Dark Millennium at a friend's home studio. That CD was never released. In the middle of January 2001, they recorded their first 5 song Mini-CD called Nameless Grave, which was released in March 2001 through Fastbeast Entertainment. In 2002 they decided to record a new full-length CD, called Formed At Birth.
...and the band returns with this brand new full length. Well, good news, people: this is not really a full length since it only runs for 35, or so, minutes. Thank you, God. The label claims that the band's groovy brutal old school Death Metal in the vein of old Six Feet Under, Napalm Death, Dying Fetus. I say that they play a monotone look mom, I managed to write 20 identical songs boring Death Metal. Probably the word imagination doesn't exist in their vocabulary. The production is good but come on: no matter how good the production might be, an average album is an still average album.
To be quite honest, I skipped the last couple songs. Let's hope they were not the best on the album. Sorry but this one is less interesting that watching water boiling.
