Ozzy Osbourne - Scream album cover

Ozzy is a legend, nuff' said. At least for me he is one of the last remaining Metal legends alive and the most insane one, a man on the edge who lives his life the way he wants and does what he wants, even now and apart from his insane pose he is also a great musician and he proves it masterfully in his latest album.

"Scream" is a pure Heavy Metal thunderstorm the way only Ozzy could deliver, he knows what it needs to be done in the Metal scene and delivers it without ado or restrain, hitting you with massive riffs and solos and pure Heavy Metal. In "Scream" Ozzy takes older Metal music forms and merges them with a more modern more progressive sound, delivering something powerful that only he could manage. The result is "Scream", one of the best Metal albums he has ever done and one of the best albums I heard so far for in year 2010. His insane wisdom crafted each song in the album to be able to stand alone, I believe each song could become a successful single and there is no necessity for the rest songs to support each other. What I mean? The album has no fillers, you could listen the whole CD and never get bored or find a weak song; of course I have my favorites but I wasn't anxious to pass any song through the many times I listened to it.

Another fact that makes "Scream" a great album is that I believe all songs are made to be listened also live, each song sounds like a great live song, so great is its energy that while listening I was instantly thinking how it would be to hear it live. Apart from the production the songs are composed with amazing riffs and even more powerful solos, the riffs are pure Metal too. There is not holding back to them and they are powerful enough to raise the dead and make them crash their heads from nonstop banging...and then come the solos, a cup de grace in each song, your ears bleed and then you just want more. My neighbor made an attempt to actually complain, but he came face to face with my two-handed sword and realized that hell for him had just begun. Of course one of the musicians responsible for the aggravation of my neighbor is Greek and I simply couldn't be more proud that he is part of such an amazing album. The drums in the album are war drums, they hammer way and intensify the whole sound of the album giving it another dose of heaviness. The way the drums are combined with the energy of the guitars is perfect.

Go out get the CD and become public enemy number one, make your neighbors bleed from Metal because this album needs to be heard loud!
