The French one man band OBSZON GESCHOPF returns with its brand new record entitled "Symphony Of Decay", which is "dressed" in a cover artwork that even Rob Zombie himself would be jealous of! Without a single clue about what this band is I started browsing the net for some information.
Remzi Kelleci has been driving the OBZON GESCHOPF chariot since 1996 with 5 full-length albums (including "Symphony Of Decay") under his belt. His brand new album, which is released through Twilight-Vertrieb, features 14 Industrial Metal tunes plus two remixes of two of the songs contained in here. The sound in this album is rather weird since this band actually doesn't seem to have a clear musical path. What I mean is that the album gives you a really nice start with "The Boogeyman", "Night Stalker" and "Carnage In The Streets Of L.A." with their heavy metallic riffing and Kelleci's "noise" screams, and goes on with "Zodiac" which is a pure Industrial/EBM song full of electronic beats with some guitars here and there.
"Symphony Of Destruction" is not much of a bad album, but I guess that OBZON GESCHOPF or should I say Remzi Kelleci, should probably work a bit more on creating a unique and tight sound, since mixing Industrial, Heavy, Thrash and Nu Metal all in one may be interesting, but it can also make your music end up sounding confusing.
