Miseria - Lost Forever - DEMO album cover

One of the cool things in this job is the ability to see a band being born and growing up in front of your very own eyes. Not only to get to know a band when it finally releases a full length album. In the case of Miseria I've had the privilege of listening to all of their recording attempts so far and one thing I can say for sure: they get better as time passes by.
The band has already released three more demo/singles. All of them with great production and in the same musical vein. With their previous work, some lineup changes occurred in the band's ranks but I'm not sure if that somehow affected their sound since the main composing core has remained the same. It's also interesting to mention that the band is quite active when it comes to live performances (always in relation to the standards of an unsigned band).
Up to now, Music-wise, Miseria have established a sound close to atmospheric / gothic Metal with female vocals mostly (something that slightly changed in their previous work). Their new attempt finds them more powerful than ever before. The compositions are more up tempo, while there is a better balance between male and female vocals (some growls appear on the second track), while the song closest to the band's past is the third one, Cruel Fairytale. As with their previous works, this one has a fine production too. If you are a fan of bands like Entwine, Nightwish (and late Stratovarius - hehe) you will love this one, for sure. Thumbs up!
