Lucifer Rising
Kaamos

March 10, 2005
Prince Lucifer had prescheduled to rise in about 666 years but if he gets to hear the calling of Kaamos he will surely rise much earlier in order to respond to the calling of these true unholy heavy demons! Kaamos was formed in '98 by four persons (or demons?) in order to create pure Death Metal. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Berno Studio during March 2004. Lucifer Rising is the second album of Kaamos and hopefully it's the continuation of a bright career in Death Metal.
One of the first things someone notices is the tight and good production which enables the listener to have the opportunity to listen very clearly to every instrument and the vocals without having the slightest trouble! And remember we are talking about true heavy fucking Death Metal, not any boring ethereal full of keys kind of Death Metal! Maybe the lead parts could have been slightly better at certain points but they are still quite nice and march through the whole Death Metal scenery of Kaamos. Hell is breaking loose from every note of this album! Pure Death Metal fans - including 'old school' fans - will enjoy this album, for sure! These guys won't spare your sonic life! Their true barbaric - no keys included - Death Metal will devastate you from the first riffs! The slow parts are alternated with demonic phrases played at supersonic speeds thus creating a chaotic and barbaric environment! The aforementioned slow parts add intensity and stability to the whole musical attempt and make it more interesting! Blast beats will crush your poor ears for almost the majority of the playing time of this CD.
The coolest parts of this unholy CD include Black Revelation, Inaugurating Evil, Theriomorphic Pandeamonium, Lucifer Rising, and the cool instrumental Ascent. The lyrics belong to Konstantin, while the music is composed by the whole band. Kaamos have also produced this album by themselves with the engineering of Berno Paulsson. The very unholy distinctive and cool artwork demonology was performed by Dauthuss.
Meanwhile, Kaamos continue their live massacres, and the spreading of Darkness and Heresy proceeds. Kaamos is currently on tour for a number of shows with Marduk and Khold. The release date for the second full-length album has been set to February 28th 2005 for Europe and for the 22nd of March for the U.S. May the Lords of power and wisdom guide them throughout the centuries.
