Horrific - Your Worst Nightmare album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: HORRIFIC; signed via Razorback Records, hailing from the United States of America - performing Death 'n' Roll, on their debut album entitled "Your Worst Nightmare" (released April 10th, 2009).

Since formation in 2008; this one-man band have only one album at his disposal - "Your Worst Nightmare". I've never heard of the Death 'n' Roll sub-genre until now, and with this record; I am convinced that it's an intricately designed one. 10 tracks ranging at around 44:10, HORRIFIC deliver a solid slab of hard-hitting diligence and chaotic mayhem. Opening with "Death Rock", Slasher Dave incorporates a distinctive tone that mimics DETHKLOK in many ways, the vocalization arranges from deep, guttural growls in similar vein to Brendon Small in every conceivable way. The songwriting showcases that indistinguishable comedic characteristic, with mid-tempo chugging and galloping riffs that gets the death ball rolling. "Brain Drain" is where the TOXIC HOLOCAUST development comes in, as the groovy punk solos haste with vicious certainty.

"Abnormal Imagery" consists of persistent drumming and tight bass pummeling that's sinisterly savage, there's a nice groovy element, which provides relentless adrenaline and sophisticated solos that are filled with complex dexterity. "Dead At Midnight" began with more stimulating solo progression, showcasing powerful riffs and menacing construction that's got great sound production adroitness and efficient amount of rocking values. The riffery really sounded like TOXIC HOLOCAUST here, "The Ultimate Sacrifyx" kept this amalgam consistently organic with swerving, screechy guitar solos that blisteringly fuses with fierce excitement and pulverizing implementations that has a elegant enlightenment of robust profuseness. "Metal Cemetery" has similar technicalities of anthem chorus' and rhythmic distinction, and definitely has an influential songwriting/sound production value that mimics DETHKLOK undoubtedly.

"Ride On The Lunatic Side" is a thunderous gallop of hammering speed and dynamic substances, portraying unprecedented formulas of unique melodies that's all round rapidly nimble - it's a stampede of velocity and fire power. "Orgy Of The Bloody Parasites" supplies splendid executions of furious harmonics that compile substantial explosions of battering grace, for a one-man band - there is a lot of proficient dominance that's just admirable and delightful here. "Temptress Of The Undead" attributes more unparalleled divisions of collateral instrumentation, the sound is raw and nasty which keeps the tempo dark and strong. The creativity measures up incredibly well, and fulfils with prominent profession. Overall concluding "Your Worst Nightmare" with "Tales Too Terrible To Tell", I am compelled to say that this was a blast and a commendable discovery, which I enjoyed to the fullest.<
