It was in 1987 when a new band named ROTTING CHRIST were sent from hell to Greece in order to seek and destroy any holy spirit and guide them to their Dark Metal path...The wave had began, Black Metal arose in Greece...

Unless the economic crisis, another very good and promising band, HAIL SPIRIT NOIR, a rising star in the Metal scene makes the Greek Metal fans and not only them very pleased for that! With their debut album, "Pneuma", (spirit in English) they play a very good psychedelic Black Metal with progressive tinges and a 70s layer.

The album started with the "Mountain of Horror" and one symbol came up through my mind, horror! Haris played the keys and the Hailraiser started to slay... Theoharis as a slaughtering figure took his guitar axe and run into the mountain taking the heads from the poor Christians yelling at them with anger and rage to believe in Lucifer...The ritual had already begun! "Let Your Devil Come Inside" in the name of the one true God... "Against the Curse, We Dream" we can still dream unless the bullshits of goodness we face up every day! That goodness I do not want. "When All Is Black" brought a 70s atmosphere in my ears, my room filled up with feelings and emotions. Flutes, acoustic guitars (it was Dim's time to show his talent), a lot of sounds and a great studio work, excellent! "Into the Gates of Time" brutal and clean vocals made me to brainstorm my thoughts. As I grow to understand music less and less, I learn to listen it more and more! The swansong of the album "Haire Pneuma Skoteino" (Hail Spirit Noir in English) ROTTING CHRIST are here with an even incredible path of lyricism, awesome! Guys you are 30 years behind and 30 years front excellent work!
