Diabolical - Synergy album cover

Only 6 months after the release of their successful 'Deserts Of Desolation' mini-CD, Diabolical are now back with their new release 'Synergy'.

While I was listening to this album I thought: 'This yet another step in the right direction for the Swedish Death / Thrash Metal combo.' Eight songs aggressive, well played and powerful. We can describe their sound as a mix of different influences both from death & thrash metal 80's oriented. Usual influences like Carcass, Death & At The Gates this time turn to be just the 'first step' into a personal wave of mind-blowing metal built on heaviness and technique & played by talented / skilled young musicians. Fast tempos but also complex patterns, ultra-aggressive riffs but also melodic solos, savage vocals but also refined arrangements. I could say that's 'Synergy', not like the 'usual debut album from the usual death-thrash band from Sweden!

Overall, 'Synergy' is an album for those who love death/thrash metal and they want to hear something different from all those Swedish metal bands. Recorded with P.O. Saether at Studio Underground (Terror 2000, Necrodeath, Carnal Forge, Ebony Tears...). Diabolical are surely a good solution and I am sure they will surprise us again.
