There may be a band out there that is known by the name AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE, but I guess that the real Austrian death machine is this four piece act we have to face here. These maniacs are the third band I get to know from the Slovenian label and if you remember my review on VULVATHRONE, then I just want to let you know that you can expect something similar.

The first steps for CARIGNAN were made in the summer of 2006. Since then the band has worked its way to its first ever official release, which is this debut full-length album. Having managed to support bands like SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION, SPASM and ABYSMAL TORMENT and signing a contract with On Parole Productions is probably only the first step in this band's brutal journey.

What we have here is a brutal as fuck Porngrind (god I love this term!) act with well worked compositions and an album that challenges you to hit the repeat button again and again. Their NAPALM DEATH classic Grind influences meet the more modern NASUM style breaks and create a goregrind whirlwind full of relentless outbreaks and insane aggression. The good thing about these guys is that they have put a lot of effort into their music creating something much more than just some noisy Grind. Do not expect the classic noise as produced by bands like ANAL CUNT for instance. We are talking about musicians that managed to give brutality, groove and speed, all compressed in one album!

One more good thing is the nice and clean (for the genre) production. By the way, taking a look at the booklet I found no lyrics, so I guess that The Cons-Grinder is only about grunts and screams! Fuck, that's fucking brutal music!
