'Pacific Myth' ' the six-track EP from Canadian rockers Protest The Hero ' has been issued in special deluxe form through Spinefarm Records.

The songs on the EP were originally released on a one-per-month basis via subscription platform Bandcamp, starting in the autumn of 2015; now, they have been re-mixed and re-mastered, and sensitively corralled into a single package, complete with striking artwork (a series of paintings by surrealist Jeff Jordan, who delivered the visuals for last PTH studio album, 2013's 'Volition', and US west coast native Graham Curran), full lyrics, gatefold sleeve, plus a fold-out poster of the front cover image ' a painting by Jordan, who has provided artwork for a number of acts, including The Mars Volta.
Produced and engineered by Cameron McLellan, who also handles bass duties alongside singer Rody Walker, guitarists Luke Hoskin & Tim Macmillar and drummer Mike Ieradi, 'Pacific Myth' features a guest vocal spot on 'Cataract' by Michael Ciccia (from Mandroid Echostar), plus strings on eight minute-plus closer 'Caravan', composed, arranged and performed by Milen Petzelt-Sorace (from The Frame Defect).

Typically, PTH would consider and construct their material over an extended period, but this time around the Ontario outfit ' driven by the need to deliver one fresh track per month ' went more with the flow, and the result is an EP of energised, stirring fare, nicely whetting the appetite for their next full studio release.
