NECRONOMICON first appeared in 1984 and released their debut album NECRONOMICON which brought the Thrash Metal world up to speed! With a tremendous response from the audience and the media this was a very special beginning. Classics including "Magic Forest" , "Darkland" and "Possessed by Evil" have gained cult status. The second album APOCALYPTIC NIGHTMARE was released in 1987 and the band gained global recognition. The band's prime territories include South America, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Russia. Following multiple releases in 2004 the highly praised 5th album CONSTRUCTION OF EVIL was released. The album reached number 6 in Spain and was followed by the release of REVENGE OF THE BEST in 2007 under a foreign label. The band was finally lifted from the shadow of other Thrash Metal legends. Freddy is the only founding member which is still with the band and in 2011 the anticipated album INVICTUS was released.
The 8th album "PATHFINDER" will be released by Trollzorn Records at the end of the year. The CD reflects the band's history over the last 30 years and will be promoted by Soulfood. For Freddy this is one of the most personal albums where former band members will also be heard. BEWARE THE BEAST!
