McBUSTED Support Act Eofe Announce First Nationwide Headline Tour
July 13, 2014
Rock band EofE have announced details for their first nationwide headline tour, hitting 13 towns across the UK this November.
The Midlands band were most recently seen impressing audiences supporting super group McBusted on their phenomenally successful arena tour, playing to over 380,000 fans across 32 UK dates.
'The McBusted tour was a fantastic break for us ' being able to play some of the UK's biggest and most prestigious venues on our first tour was unreal. Their fans were really supportive and the band offered us some great advice.' lead singer Tom Harris, 17, explained. 'Their production was insane; it gave us a glimpse into the big league and where we want to be in the future. We're looking forward to heading out on our own tour now! By November we'll have loads of new material, plus all the songs we played on the McBusted tour, so will be putting on a much bigger show.'
In addition to the November tour, the band has announced an exclusive money-can't-buy competition to run across the summer months. The 'BBQ tour' will see the band play private acoustic shows for dedicated fans across July and August, with all details available on their Facebook page and website.
Describing the concept, Dan Bremner, 19, disclosed, 'Our November tour still feels like quite far away so this gives us the opportunity to head out on the road again. It'll be laidback acoustic sets and a chance for us to spend some quality time and thank those personally who have supported us from the beginning, and who made us feel so welcome on the McBusted tour'.
To tie in with the BBQ summer tour, they will be releasing second single 'Piece of You', which formed the core of their set on the McBusted tour. A slight departure from their usual sound, the ballad will be released on 17th August.
'Piece of You was a real moment in our set for us on the tour ' fans would put their phones up in the air so the arenas were filled with lights. It was quite surreal getting that audience participation and really hit home how lucky we are. I wrote it about a girl who was my best friend and she could have been a lot more, however nothing ever happened as the right situation never occurred, things kept getting in our way - now we've lost touch. It's really about missed opportunities and taking your moment, it's one of our deepest songs and it means a lot to me.'
Born out of the Black Country in 2013, EofE has been described as 'perfect crossover rock'. Earlier this year they released their debut single 'Lust' independently, hitting #8 on the official rock singles chart. They currently have their track 'Kiss Me Like You Mean It' as a free download on their website, available alongside a free bracelet: https://www.eofe.com/freebies/
