(Brooklyn, NY) The Mad Doctors and Sun Voyager present a 7" split with one kick in the gut per side. "Rusty Knife" by The Mad Doctors is one of their heaviest tracks to date and follows their "obliterating psychedelic surf trash" mantra. The song comes in strong with drummer Greg Hanson, mastermind and architect behind King Pizza Records, repeatedly slamming and kicking until a fuzzed out groove takes off. Guitarist Seth Applebaum's licks have never been this nasty. The verses are very much open, leaving room for Applebaum's vocals and guitar to take the wheel with some of the best call-and-response work the garage punk world has seen. "Rusty Knife" will be their first on vinyl since 2014's Snake Oil Superscience.

"Ghost Valley" is Sun Voyager's first wax appearance and most recent since releasing Lazy Daze on tape last April which The Obelisk named the number 3 Short Release of 2015, describing their sound as "Laid back atmosphere of heavy psychedelia and rolling low end groove." The song has a mysterious feel, almost lurking at first as the rhythm section of Stefan Mersch and Kyle Beach set the mood. Carlos Valle's vocals come in soft but build as lead guitarist Steve Friedman adds some steam and then boom. The song goes up and down and peaks toward the end with a ripping solo before it's suddenly over.

It's being released April 9th at Idio Gallery where The Mad Doctors and Sun Voyager will be supported by KDH, Super FM, and The Royal They.
