AIRBORN
Airborn formed in Torino, Italy, in 1995 and since 1998 they are renowned for their direct and uncompromised German-style power metal.
Right after their first demo Born To Fly got great fancy from the critics, which led them to be elected "Hottest new band of the month"by Metal Hammer Israel, their career started.
In 2002 the debut album Against The World was released, in collaboration with the world-famous producerPiet Sielck(Iron Savior,Gamma Ray,Blind Guardian). ThenD-Generationfollowed in 2003.
2005 brought to some line-up changes and, finally, in 2009 the band releasedLegend of Madog. Its success was cemented thanks to a lucky series of support shows for heavy metal legends such asCannibal CorpseandKorpiklaani.
In December 2012 Airborn celebrated the 10[sup]th[/sup]anniversary of their debut by publishingDemos & Rarities Collection. On the tour that followed the band had the chance to play one gig with Germany'sFreedomCall.
In 2014 the fourth studio albumDark Future Risingwas out, in conjunction with the first series of shows with Germany'sIronSavior. At the end of the year the band was taken on as the opening act for one of the two Italian shows ofFatesWarning'sDarkness in a Different Light tour.
2015 marked the 20[sup]th[/sup]anniversary of the foundation and the beginning of theTwenty Years tour, on occasion of which the band played a few other shows withIronSaviorin Italy and Germany. The recording of one of these shows led to the making ofDinosaurs ' Twenty Years Live, Airborn's first officiallivealbum,to be released in Summer 2016.
