August 4, 2014
THE KING IS BLIND are streaming their debut EP,The Deficiencies of Man, ahead of their performance at Bloodstock Festival this weekend.
The four track EP - which will be released via Mordgrimm Records on September 1st - is available to stream in full, thanks to Terrorizer magazine. Click here to read what makes THE KING IS BLIND Terrorizer's Band of the Day, and to hear the tracks.
Front man, Steve Tovey, commented: ""We're delighted to have linked with Terrorizer for this stream. We grew up reading the magazine in the 90's, back when Chuck Schuldiner was on the cover in a gray vest, and are really pleased to have their support."
"On top of that, we have the honour of treading the boards of the prestigious Sophie Lancaster stage at Bloodstock in the same week. So, check out the stream, come and see us on Saturday and blast that hangover away! As weeks go, I've had worse... "
Featuring former members of Cradle of Filth, Entwined and Extreme Noise Terror, the East Anglian quartet have delivered an intimidating warning shot to the British metal scene. The EP is a break-neck journey through death metal, doom, black metal and back around to traditional heavy metal.
With its apocalyptic lyrics and carefully structured dynamic musical narratives, The Deficiencies of Man will set the band on its rightful path to becoming one of the premier UK exponents of extreme heavy metal.
THE KING IS BLIND will play Bloodstock Festival this month, and have already been confirmed to play Hammerfest in 2015. The ferocity of the EP translates seamlessly into the live arena, and more live dates are planned for later this year.
A powerful lyric video for A Thousand Burning Temples, created by Sam Scott Hunter (Motorhead, Bring Me The Horizon), is also available as a bonus feature on the CD.
