Taste The Blood
Mortal Form

MORTAL FORM started out quite normally as a band, playing covers of bands like BLACK SABBATH and SEPULTURA. It has been a while since I saw a band saying something like that, since today's Metal bands tend to consider influential bands, bands that were formed after 2000. Anyway, let's spend some time with quality music.
The Dutch MORTAL FORM have been around since 1994, when they were just spending time playing covers. It took them 5 years and some line up changes to release their first self financed MCD X-Plore. 10 years later, the band is still active having released one demo, one full-length album and a split CD with NON-DIVINE, MORGANA-X and THRONAR.
Being Dutch, MORTAL FORM are not able to avoid their country's Metal tradition. Death Metal is in their blood, so it is natural to be in their music, too! In Taste The Blood, MORTAL FORM are attempting a mix between traditional Dutch Death Metal with some melodic Heavy/Thrash music. The result? More than satisfying if you ask me. With influences ranging from THANATOS to OVERKILL, MORTAL FORM's sound is something these guys seem to have worked a lot on and if they keep up like this I guess that they will reach the ears of many more metalheads. They managed to combine raw Death Metal, with Thrash Metal attitude and melodic leads, so I guess that their raw sound is matched by their modern attempt (yes, modern can be something that doesn't sound like FEAR FACTORY or Metalcore shit).
I was always a fan of the Dutch scene and MORTAL FORM are probably not the ones that will disappoint me. With hard work and a bigger label that can promote them and help them more (honestly not trying to reduce the importance of My Kingdom Music) these guys can become much bigger.
