Today we have the hard rock band DIEMONDS and their self titled album "Diemonds". The Canadian group formed in 2006 and released their first album "In the Rough" in 2008. The band has had the opportunity to have opening slots for bands such as MEGADETH, STEEL PANTHER and THE DARKNESS. I am usually not a fan of bands like this but they are the exception to that. Priya has an amazing voice and it really draws you in.
The guitars played by Daniel and C.C. are laid out really well as is the bass played by Tyrone. Aiden's drumming is really on point for this style of music. Priya is definitely a vocalist young women that want to sing in a rock band can look up to.
"Breathe" is the first song on the album and really melds well with the rest of the album and is a great opener. The first song that stood out to me was the single "Our Song". It's super catchy and flows really well. It honestly has a punk feel to it as well as being kinda poppy. I really enjoyed this one a whole lot. The third track on the album is another one that stood out to me, "Shoulda Listened To Ya". It is a slower song but the melody behind it is truly amazing.
"Waiting for Someone" is the fourth song on the album and is great! This one should definitely be on the radio if it's not already. So far I have enjoyed everything I have heard. "I See Red" comes in at track eight and is one of the best songs on the ten track album. It's one of the more heavy songs and not gonna lie, I caught myself nodding my head and enjoying it a lot.
"Made it Through" the second to last song was another one I really enjoyed. But the final song "Warrior" really had me from the start. It's really well written and really energetic. I honestly think this band is really good. I think they have a bright future ahead of them for sure.
