Coloured Funeral (Reissue)
Mercyless

MERCYLESS can be attributed as the founders of Death Metal when it comes to the scene originated in countries like France, Portugal and Spain in the early part of the decade of the nineties and their second full length album, "Coloured Funeral," originally released in nineteen ninety three, is greatly responsible for that; now, twenty four years and five albums later, this milestone of European Death Metal is reissued to let the newer generations of metal heads know how it was done in the beginning.
Nine tracks of violent and relentless Death Metal with a taste of classic grim reaper approach, a collection of tunes so bleak and insane that the word classic acquires a completely different meaning when it comes to this band, and now thanks to the mystic connections of the Metal Temple you can virtually travel through time to be present right in the moment when this album was originally released today.
Tracks like "Pathetic Divinity" portraits a balance between madness and violence that few bands in the world of death Metal can brag about, but MERCYLESS depicts this with the accuracy of a scalpel carefully placed to create an incision as precise as the grim reaper itself, but oriented in a way that will be far from provoking wellness and the opportunity to overcome an illness or malfunction of the body as a regular surgery would, for this record originally released almost a quarter of a century ago decants the true essence of Death Metal and Grind core as the purest poison would, and when musicianship is there to accompany the slaughter, the offset of everything around you becomes much more qualified to create the effect wanted in all fans with or without the appreciation for the music theory behind all the brutality of MERCYLESS right in the second decade of the twenty first century.
