Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher is proud to present to you: GRAVE DESECRATOR; signed via Season Of Mist Records, hailing from Brazilian grounds - performing Death/Black Metal, on their 3^rd new album entitled: "Dust To Lust".

With 2 records behind them since formation in 1998, "Sign Of Doom" (released in 2008) and "Insult" (released in 2010), the quintet in question released this here brute - 6 years later: "Dust To Lust" set for release on July 1^st, 2016; emerges upon the world wide web delivering an utmost unprecedented fusion of Death/Black Metal into one ultimate being of ear pummeling destruction. Going in with medium expectations, I surprise myself yet again with an absolute blinder of a release. I relish the chance to listen to some Death/Black Metal here and there; 2 of my favorite genres in Metal, I get the opportunity to review GRAVE DESECRATOR...though seemingly inactive throughout their years (until now), if you are a Death/Black Metal purist, it's safe to say that if you're looking some raw and solid material in those sub-genres...seriously, look no further. This here quartet will also shock you as it did me that first time.

Consisting of Butcherazor on vocals/guitars, who performs using complex, yet deep guttural screams of death in a proficient Death/Black Metal type of integration, the man also efficiently pummels some excellently crafted, yet scrutinized riffs that screech with some of the loudest I have heard, ever.  Vallakk The Necrogoat on bass helps with this efficiency, delivering a similar fashion of agonizing yet elegant destruction. Black Sin And Destruction also on guitars splendidly flourishes with destructive riffs that scream with excellent dexterity. And the amalgamation crushing of M. Kult on drums evidently provides an utmost destructive force to be reckoned with. 12 immense tracks plague "Dust To Lust", but by all means, isn't filled with variety and that is perfectly fine with me as you can't fix what just isn't broken.

Opening up with "Intro (Dust To Lust", ascending with fierce instrumentation right off the ears. "Temple Of Abominations", "Funeral Mist" & "Gods Of Death", excel at some intricate musicianship that screams out success; the sound production for instance, amps up the riffs that arguably sound extremely devastating that one can not help but react intensely to the immensity of this endeavor. Not only is the songwriting stellar and proficient, the atmosphere is spot on too...detailed with a memorable sound production to boot. "A Witching Whore", "Host Desecration" & "Anathema Bloodlust", define more proficiencies in this Death/Black prominence that enjoyably have fulfilling attributes, which unify the musicianship greatly. "Bleed For Worship", "Memento Mori" & "One More Soul", continue to inspire more instrumental leaps that intentionally feels like the album could end here...

However, 2 more songs essentially await you, as you are most guaranteed a fix from your time spent with "Dust To Lust": "Mephistophallus In Occultopuss" & "Perpetual Oath". While the record may feel long-winded, you are most certainly getting your fix with some unprecedented values.<
