Demon Lung - The Hundredth Name album cover

Hailing from Sin City, DEMON LUNG is a Doom Metal band with certain Sludge / Stoner influences with its heavily distorted guitar that becomes the main driving force of the songs with the vocals and all the other instruments lower into the mix. Normally I am not very fond of this type of production, especially in Doom Metal since I consider the main part to be the vocals, but in this record it works as it is not overdone.

The band shows promise as they know how to create a proper atmosphere with the occult themes of the lyrics and the awesome cover, not to mention the hypnotic drums, the doomy riffs all combined with the vocals of Shanda Fredrick's.

Although not being particularly special or remarkable, "The Hundredth Name" is a fairly decent release.
