As for rating “Astral Iron”, that is not too difficult. This is rather good put together, and there is not one time that you get bored whilst listening to what HIGH WARDEN is shoving our way. And as for making their music the centre of attention, I have to admit that with “Astral Iron” they have made the right choice. It is quite a pleasure to listen to the album.

Crisp and clear where it concerns the Thrash and Heavy Metal parts, and vague and misty when Black Metal is reigning. But you can distinguish all the sounds being played all the time. As for the music on “Heavy Metal Survivors”, it is as straight forward as an arrow. Hard driven riffs, flanked by thumping bass sounds and very inspired drumming is what SIGN OF THE JACKAL is shooting at you. it works, and it will have you interested in a heartbeat.
