To have so much time to work an album, it is not something that you hear every day, in particular in such a demanding market, where an artist needs to be constantly updated with something new to offer. It was proven by many that not giving in to the pressure, make use of the time, and certainly with the pandemic there was enough, and the end result could be more dreamy than dreary. The legendary NWOBHM band, Satan, released their latest album, "Earth Infernal", proving that their magic is still there, and quite relevant even for the modern Metalhead. Steinmetal had a good talk with guitarist Russ Tippins about the album, its musical nature and lyrical flavors.

Over the years there have been countless of wake-up calls for the general public in order to further the understanding of what are our possibilities for the future, whether close or far. Nonetheless, there are many that tend to ignore in order to live a life, as better as possible, without any concerns. The big question is, will this perception change, or at least, think a little different for the sake of a better future. Kingcrown, and their founder, singer Jo Amore, demand that people would wake up and understand what is going on. Steinmetal, in light of the band's sophomore album, "Wake Up Call", had to find out more from Amore about changes, and a future.

Simply just to continue writing, it takes one's mind off things, making the best of every moment that is possible in order to maintain a status, which had a potential of being lost. So why stop because of a global pandemic? There are those that made the best of their time at home and prepared to the day after, after the tomorrow. Powergame, similar to a lot of bands out there, decided that it is only a setback, a kind that is bound to end one day, and soon. The end result for the German band is "Slaying Gods", an example of their old school Metal taste and their ventures through various themes. Steinmetal had a pleasure to talk with Matthias Weiner of the band about the experience.

It is no secret that we have turned as digital as possible, perhaps we haven't really tasted what to be digital really is. There is a chance that the incoming VR technology will take us to journeys that we wouldn't want to get back from, like an endless trip, for life. The Spanish old school Metal band, Redshark, share the same fears as many others from the total digital world, making us a kind of slaves in the process. Through their "Digital Race" album, they hold nothing back, and fire everything they have. Steinmetal had a good talk with founder Philip Graves about what is going on within the record and his perception of old school Metal.
