Margantha – Blood Moon Sacrifice
July 21, 2025
MARGANTHA, Black Metal trio from Finland and Italy, mix two of my favorite things with their debut EP, “Blood Moon Sacrifice”—Black Metal and horror.
review
Obediencia Cero – Mundo Caos
July 21, 2025
"Mundo Caos” is a good modern Thrash Metal delivery with traditional elements. Key features of the release are the guitar riffs, the solos, and the aggressive and intense vocals
review
Inhuman Condition – Mind Trap
July 21, 2025
“Mind Trap” is a good mixture of traditional Death Metal and Thrash Metal. The melodies are grim, and the fast Thrash Metal inspired parts offer aggression and intensity to the sound
review
Doomsday Profit – Doomsday Profit
July 20, 2025
The best part of the album was the bass work. It wasn’t a bad album by any stretch, it was just too plain…too one sided for me. Doom Metal can be very vibrant, and quite exciting, if done the right way. This album just didn’t get off the ground for me, save for that final song, which was excellent.

Øltreluce – lövërliminal
July 18, 2025
The melodies on the album are glorious in their defiance. Like streaks of golden light cutting through storm clouds, they emerge through tremolo lines, layered harmonies, and swelling, mournful leads. In many moments, it feels less like the darkness is being accompanied by beauty, and more like it’s being challenged by it. Devastating in its weight, but luminous in its execution, it pulls you into shadow, only to show you how much light still lives there. It’s a breathtaking storm where melody triumphs not by avoiding the darkness, but by illuminating it.

Hilltops Are For Dreamers – A Soulless Drive
July 16, 2025
Even being able to put together a three-song EP tells a lot about the band’s perseverance in the record industry, which to quote Gene Simmons,” is chaos. It wasn’t bad per se, it just failed to excite me as a listener. The vocal harmonies were probably the best part of the album, and the band has a strong sense of musicianship. The album just fell a bit flat.

St. Madness - With Respect
July 16, 2025
And the North American harbingers of Metal madness are back with a very good tribute full-length!
review
Darkside Ritual - Chamber of Deathlessness
July 16, 2025
a ver good mix between Technical Death Metal and Black Metal, but a better sound quality is needed in the future.
review
Azathoth’s Dream - Solitary Forest Necromancy
July 16, 2025
A good Black Metal release, but this North American act needs a better sonority on the next coming.
review
Angel Of Damnation - Ethereal Blasphemy
July 16, 2025
It's a case of 'the-cover-isn't-telling-the-truth', because here you'll find a very good Doom/Heavy Metal release.
review
Incinerated – The Epitome of Transgression
July 16, 2025
Overall, this was an excellent album. Not all Black and Death Metal has to be so simple, and INCINERATED prove that it can also be complex…that they can write songs well and with a considerate hand, and still pummel you to death with aggression and rage.
review
Patriarchs In Black – Home
July 16, 2025
There are no bad songs on “Home”. PATRIARCHS IN BLACK have been able to keep ascending and get better with every album they do.
review
Professor Emeritus - A Land Long Gone
July 16, 2025
I find it very hard to believe that they are such a young band, because their performance on this album, as well as all the provided riffs, melodies, guitar solos and choruses, sounds so unbelievably fresh that you would think that this is a newly formed band, while in reality being one of the key players in the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal
review
The Medea Project - Kharon
July 16, 2025
Musically THE MEDEA PROJECT do just what I was expecting, which is mixing the Doom Metal elements with Sludge Metal parts and then dribbling their Gothic Metal gravy over all of it. And that does give me some very interesting songs and soundscapes that take just under 40 minutes on “Kharon”.
review
Goblinsmoker – The King’s Eternal Throne
July 15, 2025
Overall, you gotta love a band who presents their music in a straightforward fashion, and without the hint of pretention, because you know what you are going to get. That is the case here with “The King’s Eternal Throne.”
review
Thomas Carlsen's Transmission - Clockwork Sky
July 15, 2025
What this album lacks in length, it has the style and substance that come across grandiose and very multi-faceted. This is the perfect case that quality is often better than quantity.
review
Wytch Hazel - V: Lamentations
July 15, 2025
The album feels like a continuation, another chapter in their career and their pathway. It feels like a progression from ''IV: Sacrament'' yet you can see some elements from this album in this new opus. The story has not been finished and WYTCH HAZEL continue bringing their message through their music, transcending themes that are not for everyone yet not overdoing it no matter what.
review
Sea Mosquito – Majestas
July 14, 2025
This is black metal refined, not by restraint, but by vision — a record that fully embraces the genre’s chaotic foundations while elevating its terror through craft, atmosphere, and intention. It understands the genre’s roots in horror and uses that knowledge with purpose, and it knows where to press, how long to hold, and when to whisper. This is the sound of something ancient waking up and remembering us.

review
Fer de Lance - Fires on the Mountainside
July 14, 2025
The sophomore jinx has not hit them at the slightest and they deliver something different, something quite unique for a genre that has been stagnant for years on end.
review
Lorquin’s Admiral - Lorquin’s Admiral
July 14, 2025
LORQUIN’S ADMIRIAL is notable for its musicianship and Dawn Brown’s vocals. There’s some nice chemistry there.
review
Sallow Moth – Mossbane Lantern
July 13, 2025
This album was definitely a collection of out of the box songwriting. Their musicianship is off the charts…somewhere deep in the pacific. Much of the music was razor sharp, cold, even sterile, but there were moments when the album breathed. This was a technical feat that you rarely come across anymore.
review
Amphisbaena – Rift
July 12, 2025
This was a curious album, that felt a bit unfinished for me, and perhaps that is the point. The past and the future make up someone’s life, and that is a difficult, lengthy story to tell. In the end, maybe our lives don’t really amount to much, or at least, not as much as the story itself. I would love to hear more from the band.
review
Thelemite - Powers of Darkness
July 12, 2025
It's a solid combination, and THELEMITE is really a solid band. There's nothing too new in what we're seeing here, but it's damn good music.
review
Creatvre – Toujours Humain
July 10, 2025
“Tourjous Humain” is a searing slab of metal, grinding forward like a rusted machine coming alive in a storm, its engine built on distortion, repetition, and complex tasks. What makes this record more than just a wall of sonic abrasion is the strange humanity that breathes through its fractured surfaces. What’s most striking is how personal this mechanical monstrosity feels. For all its concrete and steel, this is an album about survival, and finding rhythm inside the noise, and letting yourself breathe even when the air is poisoned.

review
Phantom Fire – Phantom Fire
July 9, 2025
A heavy blues and black metal based album, the thick bass notes are one of the best parts of the album. The band settles on a heavy riff, and just drives it home, like a rocket returning to earth. It isn’t anything overly original, but it comes from the heart, and few bands can rock this much energy in their music.

Our North - Everyone For Themselves
July 8, 2025
Sheffield hard hitters, OUR NORTH, have been serving up their enticing brand of Metalcore, fused with Hip Hop and Trap, since their formation in 2019. Channelling everyone from BRING ME THE HORIZON and WHILE SHE SLEEPS to BAD OMENS, OUR NORTH unleash a sound that is soaked in power, venom, diversity, and passion. I just hear LINKIN PARK with the heavier parts using a grunt or scream that is a bit more extreme.
review
Hammer – Trapped
July 8, 2025
But let’s get back to “Trapped”. It is Extreme Metal indeed, because if I would have to try and classify it in any other way I wouldn’t have been able to, even if my life depended on it. Yes, you will get Groove Metal, Death Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Grindcore and Sludge in there somewhere, but none of those fit the bill, so by branding it Extreme Metal the band is talking it easy on us listeners and reporters.
review
Black Magnet – Megamantra
July 8, 2025
Overall, the album seemed to encompass several styles of music, keeping it alive and constantly moving, including Punk, Sludge, Industrial, and Hardcore. I also found the album nearly exactly as advertised…harsh and infectious at the same time. I understand why the songs are on the shorter side, because they are packed full of density. This was a swift kick in the teeth.
