review
Dead Cosmonauts – Parasomnia
December 12, 2023
If you give it a chance, this album can vibe with the most staunch Metalhead, because it wields various shades of sonority like a wizard crafting spells. The key are the swells and retreats, as they are very well placed, and the result is an album that is vibrant, alive, contemplating, and energizing.
review
Wolves In The Throne Room – Crypt of Ancestral Knowledge
December 11, 2023
Although only four songs long, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM remind the listener that they have power, creativity, excitement, and a deep well of songwriting skills. They take advantage of pushing every boundary the genre has to offer, while staying true to their roots and the traditions of the genre, and prove that American Black Metal is just as vital as their overseas genre mates.
review
Endseeker – Global Worming
December 10, 2023

review
Left To Rot – Breath Of The Tomb
December 10, 2023
LEFT TO ROT leave a promising mark on the Death Metal market and traditional Death Metal fans will dig "Breath Of The Tomb"
review
Frozen Wreath – Mea Cupla
December 9, 2023
What does a frozen wreath signify? A wreath is a symbol of victory, hope, and love. A frozen one suspends these elements forever. The band’s title reflects these feelings very well, and after I listen to it, I have to shake off the chill.

review
Tumanduumband - Throne of Grief

A brutal form of Sludge/Doom Metal, done in an experimental and different way.
review
St. Madness - Last Rites/The Final Blessing
December 6, 2023
And the North Amrican madness spreads its wings again on this nnew release of the quartet. Fun, weight and good music, so what are you waiting for?
review
Miara – Hungering Inside
December 6, 2023
Let’s start with the positives. Many band in this style stumble early on trying to push the Death side of the genre over the Melodic side, but MIARA is equally adept at both. If it wasn’t for the founding fathers of the genre existing, I would love this sound. As it is however, it is just too much of a copy of these bands without anything original to offer fans.
review
Stuporous – Asylum’s Lament
December 4, 2023
The soft trumpet parts definitely add another layer of darkness to the music, which is already quite desperate. The combination of Doom and Black Metal actually works very well with the music. At times angry and other time dreadfully sad, the albums themes are well reflected in the sound.
review
Zhiva – Into The Eye Of The Storm
December 4, 2023
I always look to find the musical expression and nuances throughout the album. The vocals are usually at the forefront and the main attraction as well as focusing on melodies and themes, and ZHIVA did accomplish that.

WOLF PRAYER hailing from western Germany, one of the most beautiful regions in the world […]
review
Sophie Lloyd – Imposter Syndrome
December 4, 2023
I fell in love with Sophie Lloyd and her playing the very first time I saw her YouTube video channel. Her effortless style is mesmerizing and her left hand moves like a spider on the fretboard with finger numbing sparks shooting off.
review
Raining Nails – Human Deeds
December 4, 2023
"Human Deeds" is a dynamic and energetic melodic Metal album with traditional Heavy Metal inspirations and a few Hardrock twists
review
Graven Image – Gods Who Decree
December 3, 2023
This was a fairly rough and unpolished album that doesn’t venture very far from the open E chord. As a result, the music falls very flat. Sure, it’s Metal, but it isn’t very creative or dynamic.

review
Eternal Storm – A Giant Bound to Fall
December 2, 2023
They have the melodic sensibility of INSOMNIUM, and the ardent, unwavering power of AN ABTRACT ILLUSION. Every note, and every refrain is perfectly placed to tantalize the listener with its bewitching charms. The organic force comes from deep within, enveloping the listener to the end of his days.
review
Myaelin – Naesekhnaetri
December 1, 2023
, I can deal with the lack of structure, and the very loose nature of the music, but what struck me as most odd were the vocals. This music is just too eclectic for most music lovers.

review
Impalement – The Dawn of Blackened Death
December 1, 2023
Overall, this was a very strong album steeped in the traditions of both genres, but with a modern sound as well. The band plays very confidently, and shoves their sound down your throat with a deep smile.

review
Fleshworks – Diabolus Ex Machina

Run of the mill Death Metal without a lot of excitement or fanfare. The band can do better than this.
review
Satsuriko Robot- No Thrash Metal, No Life!
November 29, 2023
Traditional thrash metal , but Japanese style.
review
Mephorash – Krystl–Ah
November 29, 2023
Emotion is something that you don’t often hear in Black Metal, we at least, developed emotion as I call it. That is one thing that the band does well. The second is how they use tension to hold the listener on the edge of their seat. I found this album to be both poignant and deadly.
review
Stratuz - Osculum Pacis
November 28, 2023
What the band does best on the album, besides their attention to detail, is construct a well-told story where the music matches the themes, with a variety of instruments to tell the tale. This is thoughtful Death/Doom Metal, with a heaping of torture for extra measures.
review
Reckless - Sharp Magik Steel
November 27, 2023
I can only say that although RECKLESS isn’t to be seen as a band that will change the face of Speed Metal, they are one of those that will get your juices flowing and your heartbeat racing.
