Daniel Shaw
Aggressive Perfector
Old school Metal runs in the blood, is runs through the bones, and it inhales the spirit. Being one with the time of the golden era of the music is surely a treat, yet to actually play it and revamp it, that is another story, especially in times like these. Steinmetal had a nice chat with Daniel Shaw of the up and running Aggressive Perfector, which recently unleashed their new "Havoc at the Midnight Hour", a flashback to the past. Expect it to be dirty, rough and traditional.

Simon Petersen & Bjørn Hellpig
Horned Almighty
It is hard to come up with a quality kind of artistic venture when constantly under pressure due to time restrictions. The fact that an artist has to be on time, mainly because it was written, doesn't guarantee that his next creation would be worth the trouble. However, even if you stretch it, there aren't guarantees either. Nevertheless, the chances of putting out something groundbreaking, or at least a source of renewal to an extent, are higher. Horned Almighty took their time, and they came out with the fortune, buried within their new "To Fathom the Master's Grand Design". Steinmetal had a good time chatting with Simon Petersen and Bjorn Hellpig about the future of man, evil doings, musical development, and more…
Thomas Berglie
Sarke
It has been known that artists throughout the years were pinned with being gamblers, thus meaning, doing something that is uncanny or unexpected when compared to previous, sometimes classic level, efforts. On the other hand, one might call it an evolution, or honestly an artist's will to take a dive into foreign waters. The Norwegian Sarke have always tried to surprise, creating something that would resonate a special offering. With the release of "Gastwerso", Steinmetal had a chat with Thomas Berglie, also commonly known as Sarke, about the new album, musical development, inside the album's philosophy, and more…
David Cachia
Beheaded
With ounces of motivation, swarming within a sea of talent, it is not logical that nothing would be coming out of it. Being Brutal and technical, yet in a refined manner, can be a thing of beauty, within its horrid created reality. Beheaded are back with a new offering, switching labels, maintaining their purpose to be better than before, not remaining on top the same slab. Steinmetal had a chat with longtime member, David Cachia, about their new album "Only Death Can Save You", philosophy, songwriting and more…
Hans Fyrste & Gamle Erik
Svarttjern
The hell with it they say, that is how things get done, and if you don't like it, go look elsewhere. There are bands that don't really give a rats about what people think, if they are politically correct, or prudent. They will be merciless, brutal, disgustingly sexy in their own way. Now, that is interesting. Norway's Svartjjern removed their gloves, they are all in for the fight, in their blackened minds and provocative manners. Following the upcoming release of their new album "Shame Is Just A Word", Steinmetal had a chat with Hans Fyrste and Gamle Erik about the band's dirty mind, ruthless philosophies, songwriting, their Black Metal and more…

Dave Callier
Oath Of Cruelty
Reliving the past in the present, that is a nice way to put it. One cannot deny the powerful moments of the old days, especially while the relics of that age still walk among crowd. Jesse Jolly
BlightMass
It might be possible that most would skip an opportunity for them to shine, even if it involves an off show offering. However, those who do rise for the challenge, they are granted with a chance that could may as well go big time. BlightMass, based in France, are currently an underground level Death Metal band, yet they are being fronted by an American vocalist, that has been involved in the legendary Tampa Death Metal scene. BLAME ZEUS
is a band, from Oporto, Portugal, which began in December 2010. With influences that range from blues to metal, progressive and alternative rock, their music does not belong to only one style. Their main objective is to create excellent and innovative music and, above all, that appeals to the inner most profound core of our selves. Inspired by the old school of rock and metal, but focused on doing something new, they intertwine rich melodies with interesting lyrics, creating intimate surroundings with a strong rock sound, and combining heavy guitars with the raw tone of a raspy and powerful female voice.

Yenz Leonhardt
Stormwarrior
Back in the fold, finally to get back in to the rhythm, the pleasure of making hard edged music, graced by the powers above. It took a single person to get the Stormwarrior horde back in full swing, such energized motivation to create and come up with a potential hitter, is impressive. Releasing "Norsemen", the Stormwarrior set themselves a higher purpose and achievable goal. Steinmetal had a talk with Yenz Leonhardt, about the new album, getting back into the groove, sound, musical direction and more…
Babis Paleogeorgos
Dreamlord
Time, what is time? It is the timing that matters, even if decades pass by. Unfortunate events are a part of any band out there, whether it is personalities, obligations, you name it. It is there, and will always be an obstacle. Nonetheless, finding that leeway to get back to business, that is the trick. Greece's Thrash Metal band, Dreamlord, have been around for a little more than two decades, yet only recently they were able to find the angle. Steinmetal had a talk with Babis Paleogeorgos about the debut album after so many years, " Disciples Of War", signing to a local label, being part of the modern Metal scene, philosophies and more…
Tom "Angelripper" Such
Sodom
Constantly busy, not letting time pass without anything to show for, to let everyone know that there are things done behind the curtain, knee deep in the shadows, later to be unleashed in a furious way possible. Following the path of their previous release's agenda, Sodom issues their new EP, "Out of the Frontline Trench", as a token for the fans and collectors, yet also to show that they are working on something bigger. Steinmetal had a chat with Tom Angelripper about the new EP, its concept, back to the roots, memories of the past, and more…

John Kevill
Warbringer
Forged from the timeless discipline of abandon and steeled by a decade and a half of holding the line for Thrash Metal, Warbringer, proves themselves day in and day out; from their grassroots mentality to their in-your-face performance theirs is a mannerism shared equally between all members, unvexed by any adversity that they may come across they continue their pursuit of pure honest metal baring no compromise. Scott Taysom
Cloak
Exploring the dark side of everything can only be guessed as something that can be equaled to anything that is out of this world. The journey could be endless, and there is nothing to expect other than being shocked along the way. The wicked blend of extreme Metal, bred in the US, Cloak, may as well be on the right path to excite and surprise its listeners, with every album out. Power Theory
Setting a new standard to one's self is always important, trying to become better over time, to slowly mutate into the next in line. Such motivation and desire is also crucial to make a great album. Vincent Crowley
Infidel Reich
The truth is right there in the face. We are a changed society that doesn't really notice that it has become endangered, from itself. Someone has to be stay guard, be on alert, let the people know that they are making a mistake, taking wrong turns, and ruining their lives over self-pity. The could considered supergroup, Infidel Reich rose on the idea that there has to be a balance within society and banish extremism, for our sake. New Disorder
Italian Metal is a reality on worldwide scene, because from old Metal genres to the new ones, from the most melodic Metal form you can think of to the ultimate brutal Death Metal, you can find bands there. And
NEW DISORDER
is another very good name from there. Coming from Rome, the quintet unleashes its fury with a strong, heavy and modern Metalcore, and their latest album, "Mind Pollution", is a mighty blow in the ears. The prolific
"Metal Mark" Marcos Garcia
recently had the opportunity to talk with them, so past, present and future of the band is shown on these words.
Florian Schadhauser
Dissorted
Loosened up, already willing to go out of the ordinary methods and formulas in order to become above the average Thrasher, and it is with assurance that there is no risk involved. Mike Stark
Stormburner
Devotion for the past may look to various folks as a weakness, not really getting into the groove of the new age. Well, sometimes entrusting one's soul in the glorious past, may bring out fortune, talent depended of course. The Swedish Stormburner, which recently made themselves known in the underground, are slowly rising to fulfill their destiny as a tough traditional Heavy Metal band without limitations of power. Steinmetal had a great talk with Mike Stark, the band's vocalist, about the new album "Shadow Rising", signing with Pure Steel Records, Manowar, Heavy Metal and more…
Martin Gerloff
Horrizon
It is always a pain to maintain a steady band lineup, especially when one is heavily keen to move forward, write songs, record and put out for the folks for grabs, and of course to perform live and tear some stages. However, there are those that aren't that lucky and have to struggle in order to keep everyone in line. Cases showed that it is sustainable, and every conflict can be resolved. Possibly it happened for the German Melodic Death Metal band Horrizon passing 2014. Now, signed to a new label, motivated with a new album, they are off to conquer. Steinmetal talked with the band's vocalist Martin Gerloff on the new effort, "World Of Pain", line up matters, songwriting, being traditional and more…
Adrian Jenkinson
Salem UK
A band career can turn out to be quite a gamble, its fate relies on so many things, and it needs only a single negative flair to show the road down spiral. Steve Marbs
Negator
Complete something new only in order to come into a final step in a long journey. It is possible that others may simply wrap things up and say goodbye, yet there is that feeling that the hunger for more will triumph eventually. Steinmetal talked to Steve Marbs of the band about the feeling of ending things, contemplations, new label, songwriting, lyricism and more…
Marco Di Bartolo
Abythic
There are artists that believe that making changes every now and then helps them go forward, or at least to enjoy their created art even more than being constant. It is never easy to just let go of a path and switch to another, it is possible that hesitation takes its place in the process of decision making. For Abythic, it seems natural to just pack up and move on, therefore, maintain a policy of changes. Steinmetal talked to the band's founder and main man, Marco Di Bartolo about the band's new album, "Conjuring The Obscure" and its role in the band's development, encircling the band's musical form and more…

Sunny Faris
Blackwater Holylight
Hazy, laid deep inside a fog that never seems to end, like a mystery ever dwelling, it keeps going and going. Encrusting the music with the echoes and sounds of Winter, yet not merely to be regarded as the season, yet also what goes on in one's heart and mindset. Blackwater Holylight is back with their sophomore album, "Veils Of Winter", showing a beautiful kind of darkness and spirituality.
