SAINT OF DISGRACE is a melodic Death Metal band from southern Finland. They referred themselves as a Viking oriented band earlier in their career but later changed their style into a melodic typed Death Metal.

"For My Pain" is a short release with 3 tracks but still with good music. As you might notice, the title of the album is a protest against the so called saints gone bad. It is a shared paradox and a pretty nice one. The EP's main concept is a direct assault versus the saints of vanity, their sins and the hypocrisy that follows them.

Matching to the provocative themes, the music is fast and brutal with awesome deathly growls and screams of the vocal line. Yet, there was also an addition of a clear female voice to the songs. Most of the time, after a brutal yelp, the female vocalist comes forward to the scene with a clear, beautiful singing. This occurrence is usually followed by soft keyboards orchestrations. The main lead vocals attack with two types of singings; thick deathly growls and screams. Up front there are also awesome Metal riff played that are really interesting and energetic.

In general, this is a pure melodic output, I mean the music is very arranged and harmonic. this is a nice point about them I rate the tracks this way : I liked "Blood Of The Saint" the most, then "Epica" and "For My Pain".

One of the letdowns is that there are no guitar solos, yet rhythm guitars are awesome, and powerful and fast played with great melodies. The drums are not that hot but the whole point about this EP is that all of instruments synchronized well, basically the entire song set is very powerful regardless of analyzing each instruments on its own.

If you want to manage your mind and enjoy listening to some good three tracks I suggest taking on this release.
