Magnadur – Beautiful Nightmare
February 27, 2025
The songs are all pretty short, but they are packed to the gills. The visual that I get when I listen to the album is children frolicking in a playground for the afternoon, while dark and ominous figures dart in and out and commit murders in broad daylight. The contrasts are so sharp that they don’t make sense at first, but taking in the album as a whole, you can appreciate the central themes, as well as Tomi’s uncompromising creativity and vision.

Retched - The Overlord Messiah
November 5, 2024
RETCHED plays US Metal. If you are prone to the early years of OMEN, you will certainly like the sound as well as the music. If you are a fan of the first albums of MALICE, you will love the music and find it a pity that the sound is lacking a bit of conviction.

Aeons – The Ghosts of What We Knew
July 4, 2024
This album is thoughtful and put together very well. There are definitely elements of a core concept here, but the band continuously explores without fear or concern. What results is a versatile sound that covers about all of the ground that you would want to hear as a listener.

Isospin – Aftermath Chronicles
April 24, 2024
This was a decent album. The light use of symphonic elements augments the music well, and you can tell that the band put a lot of thought into their compositions.

Night Slasher – Night Slasher
April 16, 2024
Their name is perfect for their music. A night slasher is someone who scarves up unsuspecting victims in the darkness of the shadows, and uses a knife so that he can feel their pain in his hands. I picture this album playing in the background as he claims one victim after another, smiling coyly.

Godfrost – Godfrost
April 1, 2024
“Godfrost” is one of those albums that make you go on a hunting spree for all the artist’s previous materials you can find. We all definitely need more Frost in our lives.

Final Coil – The World We Inherited
February 12, 2024
The music is reflective of the themes mentioned in the beginning quite well. You can see the divide between people growing larger each and every day, and at some point, wheels were set in motion that cannot be undone. Have we reached that point already? It’s hard to say, but I don’t feel bad about the possibility of not being around to witness the end of times.

Astral Sleep – We Are Already Living In The End of Times
January 19, 2024
There are moments when it seems that the album has everything together, but in between, it doesn’t. Doom Metal can be exciting and invigorating and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. This is where the album is lacking.
