Black Majesty - Oceans Of Black
June 6, 2025
I have enjoyed listening to BLACK MAJESTY. If you are one of those who loves your Epic and Melodic parts to be part of it, I feel that I just might have handed you another jewel in your crown. And hey, maybe you are one of those who already knew and appreciated BLACK MAJESTY. If you are, you will definitely enjoy “Oceans Of Black”.

“Beyond” is a smart mixture of modern, symphonic, and Power Metal elements with a focus on a delivery of easy-to-listen, anthemic songs embedded in a catchy melodic framework
review
Game Over – Face The End
April 14, 2025
“Face The End” is a versatile album influenced by many different styles. It contains a variety of tempi, guitar riffs, and drum patterns. It is not the fastest and most aggressive Thrash Metal album but it will find its well-deserved place in the heart of Thrash Metal fans
review
Trick Or Treat – Ghosted
April 14, 2025
“Ghosted” is surely one of the albums named when it comes to end of year reviews and it may end up among the top Power Metal album releases in 2025
review
Trick or Treat - Ghosted
March 31, 2025
I am not going to single out nor point out any specific song but I feel they are really embracing for the very first time wholefully their namesake. They have a name that involves Halloween and spooky themes and they went all out on this one even though we had some glimpses of the last release before this one though. I think they have found their voice, their calling.
review
The 7th Guild – Triumviro
March 12, 2025
Let me start by saying that the Metal evolution has passed the people in THE 7TH GUILD by without them noticing, because if you had told me that this was an old album being rereleased, I would have taken you at your word.
review
Dragonknight - Legions
February 20, 2025
In an eroded genre as Power Metal, bands as this quintet deserves appaluses for its efforts.
review
Thy Kingdom Will Burn – The Loss And Redemption
January 13, 2025
"The Loss And Redemption” is dark and heavy, epic, and melancholic. It is a good mixture of all those elements, where the melancholic melodies drive the album
review
Fellowship - The Skies Above Eternity
December 30, 2024
All in all, I didn’t hate
FELLOWSHIP
’s “
The Skies Above Eternity
” but it’s not really my cup of tea either. This might be an ok introduction to metal that is catchy and to the point but for hardcore power metal fans, this isn't going to hold much interest.
review
Aeon Gods – King Of Gods
December 20, 2024
“King Of Gods” could be the start of a promising Power Metal career of AEON GODS as they are a band with potential
review
Veonity - The Final Element
November 11, 2024
All in all,
VEONITY
’s “
The Element
,” isn’t reinventing the wheel or anything for the genre but they do exemplify it in the very best ways. If your taste for metal is for something that is definitely heavy but extreme, this album needs to be on your radar. A good time is guaranteed to be had with this album.

Krilloan – Return Of The Heralds
October 14, 2024
Return Of The Heralds” has all the ingredients which make Power Metal to the popular genre we all love: pace, powerful guitar riffing, plenty of double-bass drumming, and epic melodies
review
Cainites - Revenant
August 19, 2024
CAINITES’s “Revenant” is an interesting melodic death album across it’s storytelling, atmospheric, presentation, and music. I actually haven’t heard a lot of melodic death albums this year outside of a few key bands but this is one of the better ones I’ve come across in this second half of 2024.

Duft - Altar Of Instant Gratification
August 12, 2024
I am currently listening to DUFT, a Metalcore/Hardcore band that came to fruition in 2021. now, some three years later, they are releasing their debut album with the extensive title “Altar Of Instant Gratification”. I was very hesitant at first, as I felt that this was just a very limited Metalcore record. Did I change my mind?

review
Elettra Storm – Powerlords
March 26, 2024
“Powerlords” is a modern Power Metal album with all the genre typical elements: pace, sharp riffing, double-bass drumming, and catchy melodies
review
Drown in Sulphur – Dark Secrets of the Soul
March 14, 2024
It was probably the sheer power and aggression of the album that impressed me most, as well and the band’s impeccable sense of timing and musicianship. I have to be in the right mood to take this much of a beating, and the band provided plenty of blows.

Six Foot Six - Beggar’s Hill
March 7, 2024
The third album of this Swedish Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band is so amazing that's a matter of liking it or loving it (if you don't like, you must go to your otolaryngologist)!!!! ROCK IT!
review
Sujin – Save Our Souls
February 15, 2024
Overall, this as a good album in terms of two things. First, the level of intensity was very strong, so ardent Metalheads will like this. Second, there was just enough melody to counterbalance some of the more brutal aspects of their music. If I could offer one critique, it would be for the band to take more chances and step outside of the perceived patterns that guide the genre boundaries, because I believe they have a lot that they could offer to the fans.
review
Trick Or Treat - A Creepy Night Live
February 5, 2024
But it is very simple conclusion that I can and will draw on TRICK OR TREAT and “A Creepy Night Live”. Whatever I feel about the music, this is an outstanding live recording for those who love this kind of Melodic Power Metal or Pony Metal, whatever you wish to call it.

review
Apostolica – Animae Haeretica
November 23, 2023
“Animae Haeretica” is an epic and anthemic Power Metal album with a clear conceptual and melodic framework
review
Archangel - Total Dark Sublime
November 22, 2023
Their music is a mix of Traditional Heavy Metal with Punk and Horror elements, with some Glam Metal influences thrown in for good measure. They are trying their hardest to sound as Underground as possible, but are not being helped by a crisp, clear and outstanding sound and production. That makes listening to ARCHANGEL a lot less obscure and “Total Dark Sublime” a lot less scary.
review
Eldritch – Innervoid
November 21, 2023
This was an excellent album that showed both the band’s high level of musicianship and their great ability to write memorable hooks. The best part was the level of balance they maintained of the two.
