Defocus - There Is A Place For Me On Earth
June 12, 2024
These guys know how to handle their instruments, know how to play. They also are very capable of mixing the live instruments with the computerised ones. It sometimes reminds me of the vibe that REVOLTING COCKS used to have. They do have a good thing going there.

Bloom - Maybe In Another Life
June 12, 2024
As for the music of BLOOM that is being played on “Maybe In Another Life” , it ranges from soft and emotional intermezzos up and until almost Grindcore like parts. And of course everything in between. I am glad that they are able and willing to diversify as much as they do.

After All - Cult Of Sin
June 12, 2024
Now, after fifteen years, it’s a great pleasure to rediscover the original versions of the songs from “Cult Of Sin”, remastered for vinyl by Dan Swanö. The album is available on black, gold and smoke clear vinyl (100 copies each).

Vincent Crowley - Anthology Of Horror
May 29, 2024
The music on “Anthology Of Horror” will remind you a lot of MIDNIGHT and some of KING DIAMOND, albeit a lot tamer than his peers usually are.

Lifesick - Love And Other Lies
May 29, 2024
The band are giving “Love And Other Lies” the honour as being named their debut. And what a debut it is.

Lee Aaron - Tattoo Me
May 29, 2024
Let me state that the voice of LEE AARON hasn’t suffered too much during her aging process, so still sounds quite strong. That makes listening to a full album a lot easier, as you never have to worry if she is going to hack it or not.

Exhorder - Defectum Omnium
May 29, 2024
I feel that through all the new blood that is entering the Thrash Metal market, they should be noticed and acknowledged as one of those bands who have been groundbreaking in their sound, which hopefully will result in full acceptance within the Metal community. EXHORDER deserves nothing less.

Ear Danger – Minotaur
May 29, 2024
Let me be frank, every song you hear will take you back to the early eighties, due to the style of music that EAR DANGER are playing.

Dust Bolt - Sound & Fury
May 29, 2024
“Sound & Fury” is actually the fifth album by DUST BOLT, the first four being “Violent Demolition” (2012), “Awake The Riot” (2014), “Mass Confusion” (2016) and “Trapped In Chaos” (2019). I can’t say I ever heard any of their earlier work, but if that is in the same vein as what they offer here, I am definitely interested.

Dead Earth - Et Disperdam Illud
May 29, 2024
What is the expectation I have of DEAD EARTH and this, their debut album “Et Disperdam Illud”? I really don’t know, I feel that they are not too high, as usually people don’t play all instruments as well as they think they do. In this case I can put your mind at ease, as all music is played from at least a good level up to an outstanding level.

Crazy Lixx - Two Shots At Glory
May 29, 2024
One thing is for sure, if these songs speak to you, you will be looking for all former records. That’s how music works, and the addictive qualities of CRAZY LIXX on “Two Shots At Glory” only enhance that feeling.

Chamelion - Legends & Lores
May 29, 2024
Epic Symphonic Fantasy Power Metal is apparently the musical direction the Finnish band CHAMELION has opted to go for. Well, when the classical sounding introduction “The Conquest” begins, it certainly directs every listener that way. What I have here is actually the debut album.
