Night Attack – Necromancer
October 22, 2025
I have to admit that the opening riff of the EP and the title track “Necromancer” gets your attention right away. It has that quality that has your ears pointing towards the sound and your brain accepting the intensity and almost classic level of musicality.

Distorta – Deadman
October 7, 2025
DISTORTA is able to demonstrate that you can make an Extreme form of Metal without only being angry, disillusioned, desperate or desolate during that whole process. Nope, “Deadman” is proof that DISTORTA makes the sort of Extreme Metal that can also be lots of fun to make for a band.

Relicon - Ephemeral Triumphs
October 7, 2025
It took me some time, but I have to admit that I warmed up to the music on “Ephemeral Triumphs”. It’s not bad at all and if you are one of those who likes their music a bit alternative, you really should check out what RELICON is all about.

This I Owe – Alchemists
September 12, 2025
Let me take away any doubts; if you like Melodic Heavy Metal with some extra influences thrown in, you might just like what THIS I OWE is bringing on “Alchemists”. This album already was available to the public from 25 February 2025, but now Iron WormHoleDeath have stepped in with their extensive network to help the band to gain international recognition.

Monoliyth - He Who Kills
September 8, 2025
“He Who Kills” is Brutal Death Metal, but still houses a lot of those small moments of subtlety, even if they sometimes only last a second. And I am glad they have done that, as it gives the Death Metal attack on the senses a little more depth, a tiny amount of emotion that isn’t rage, anger or violence.
review
Animal Rage - Last Standing Man
September 3, 2025
Let me start by saying that ANIMAL RAGE have a lot of courage in how they portray their music. For example, how many bands would be able to put a very much folklore song like “Animals In The Sky” on a record. It might not be Metal, but to my ears it is beautiful.
review
Temtris – Queen Of Crows
September 2, 2025
“Queen Of Crows” offers powerful guitar riffs, great lead guitar solos, a good mixture between heaviness and melodic parts as well as between traditional and modern Heavy Metal elements

Bloodride - Deafening
August 24, 2025
Even though I like my Thrash Metal BLOODRIDE somehow has escaped my attention throughout all those years. Until now that is. And I can assure you that I am glad that this hiatus in my Thrash Metal history lesson has been rectified, because to make a long story short; I like “Deafening”.

Rickert G. - Endless Thoughts
June 3, 2025
The songs on “Endless Thoughts” have body, soul and feelings galore, and the way that RICKERT G. has put his compositions together makes a whole lot of sense. It makes for almost 42 minutes of very divers and exciting Metal.

review
Blax - Certesia
May 4, 2025
“Certesia” makes for an interesting listen that’s likely to appeal to Theatrical Metal fans more than Goth Metal.
review
Belle Morte – Pearl Hunting
February 23, 2025
“Pearl Hunting” is eleven tracks of well-balanced Symph—sometimes haunting, sometimes visceral—which will make you feel classy, the way that Symph always does, and inherently evil, the way true metal should.
review
Plague of Stars - Extinction
February 23, 2025
WormHoleDeath has a knack for finding unsigned exceptional talent skulking around in the metalsphere and PLAGUE OF STARS is another one of them. “Extinction” is an excellent find for extreme metal fans who have a liking for dark Symph.
review
Ylisia – Underneath
February 16, 2025
The debut album of YLISIA is a mix of symphonic and melodic Metal with darkness and melancholy in the melodies. Highlight of "Underneath" are the excellent vocals.
review
The Wave And The Particle - Electric Sheep
February 11, 2025
If there is a band that could qualify as Alternative Rock, then THE WAVE AND THE PARTICLE should be put on top of the list. The combination you get here is all Rock. You will hear Gothic and Symphonic mixed with Industrial and Electro. Well, the guitars sometimes do have a Metal sound and feel, but overall “Electric Sheep” doesn’t go past the Rock mark.

All in all,
ODIO DEUS

review
In A Forest Dark – Buried Giant
December 5, 2023
This album was a good combination of the depressive qualities of Doom with the vile hatred of Black Metal. Harrowing elements were also sprinkled in to give the album a dangerous edge.
review
PatriarcH - Demonic Heart
November 24, 2023
My advice to all the lovers of Thrash Metal mixed with Power Metal, step outside the Bay Area and Teutonic regions, and enter the Lowlands. You will find a lot of gems there, and this PATRIARCH album “Demonic Heart” is just one of those.
review
Razumikhin – Self Made Monster
November 21, 2023
One might say that it lacked a clear vision, but I dismiss that and appreciate the band’s willingness to explore. Too many musicians just play it safe. What the duo did on “Self Made Monster” pulled Black Metal from the trenches and brought it to new heights.
review
Angel Rising – Afterlife
November 19, 2023
Without being too critical, the album suffered from a lack of interesting riffs, energy, and really everything else that would make it stand out.
