review
Aeon Gods - Reborn To Light
March 27, 2026
AEON GODS plays their Symphonic Power Metal rather fast, giving the drummer enough space to demonstrate his double bass techniques. The guitars that accompany that sound are very well versed in making the whole sound heavy without losing the very Melodic touch. On top of that there are the vocals, that sound very pleasant, that are exactly right for this kind of music.
review
Harrowed - The Eternal Hunger
March 27, 2026
“The Eternal Hunger” is a very coherent album, rather fast and furious in deliverance, but also filled with songs that have a solid foundation, a decent structure, and most of all, an attraction to them that makes you just want to keep listening to them.
review
Induction - Love Kills!
March 27, 2026
Musically these guys certainly have their ducks in a row. Everything they make fits, sounds about right and has all the hallmarks and qualities that you would expect of a band that makes Melodic Symphonic Power Metal. It has speed, power, and is very easy for the ears and brains.
review
Nighnacht - Limb Service
March 27, 2026
Even though the songs are short and to the point, they do not lack the qualities and traits that you not only expect, but also hope for in a band that is trying to bring Extreme Metal to your doorstep. In that respect “Limb Service” doesn’t disappoint for one second. NIGHNACHT knows exactly what they are doing.
review
Orchid Throne - Buried in Black
March 27, 2026
I have to say that I am very much enamoured with opening tune “Dreamworld”. It starts and ends with piano sounds, but in between you really get the sounds that I have mentioned about the musical direction. I have to say that the combination of mainly Gothic Metal with Melodic Death Metal works really well in this song.
review
Evildead - The Underworld (Reissue)
March 22, 2026
As their second album, you can hear that EVILDEAD had learned from their debut album, that, although quite good, could have sounded better. That has been remedied on “The Underworld”, as the sound is just that bit fuller, just that bit more rounded.
review
Impure Wilhelmina – Le Sanglot
March 21, 2026
This was a very entertaining album that is difficult to categorize. Deeply somber at times, with flashes of hope intermixed, it’s the kind of recording that begs you to keep listening. The more you are drawn in, the more emotions you can hear in the music.
review
Samurai Pizza Cats - Press Start
March 21, 2026
but after some rigorous research (typing in "Samurai Pizza Cats" into Google), they're named after a vintage anime known for humorous pop-culture joking and fourth-wall-breaking samurai cats who work at a pizzeria (???).

review
Ram-Zet – Sapien
March 20, 2026
I know that a band wants to start with the one song that is a cut above the rest, that could easily be seen as the best song they have. Well, that is definitely the case with “Zerocane”. This is simply the best track that RAM-ZET has ever produced.
review
Joel Hoekstra's 13 - From The Fade
March 20, 2026
On “From The Fade” all comes together in a very good way. Whether the music is fast and furious, or slow and emotional, it all sounds exactly right. All the right notes are being hit, all the right noises are being offered, and the pristine production makes it all gel in just the right way.
review
Green Carnation - A Dark Poem, Part II - Sanguis
March 20, 2026
After “Leaves Of Yesteryear” in 2020 and their 2025 album “A Dark Poem, Part I – The Shores Of Melancholia” it is now time for them to give us “A Dark Poem, Part II - Sanguis”. This band from Kristiansand in Norway isn’t just a simple Progressive Rock/Metal band, nope, they don’t have a problem mixing those influences with a lot of Gothic under- and overtones.
review
Geoff Tate - Power
March 20, 2026
Hop in the DeLorean Marty and set the Flux capacitor to May 3, 1988, we’re headed back to pick up where musical history was forged, circling once more around to Nikki, Sister Mary and Dr. X. as the OPERATION MINDCRIME chronicle continues, but this time, with a dark unexpected twist.
review
Antropoceno - No Ritmo da Terra
March 18, 2026
Culturally delectable.
review
Archspire – Too Fast To Die
March 15, 2026
This doesn’t border on or has any association with Grindcore or any subsidiary of that genre. ARCHSPIRE plays pure Technical Death Metal that just goes a lot faster than you are used to. The title is quite apt, because what I am hearing on “Too Fast To Die” has the right combination between being as Heavy and intense as possible, whilst simultaneously maintain a bit of Melodic undertones to make the whole experience just that bit easier to digest.
review
Hellripper – Coronach
March 15, 2026
To me “Coronach” is an album that is exactly right for HELLRIPPER. The band needs to be able to vary more in their intensity and expand their musical horizon, in order to prevent the band being one of those who keeps repeating themselves.

Amongruins - Advent of Chaos
March 13, 2026
The sound on “Advent of Chaos” is actually quite heavy. The production is not only as solid as granite; it has everything you wish for if you want the music to come out of your speakers in an impeccable way what you decide to turn the volume up time and time again. Well, I can tell you that AMONGRUINS have succeeded with flying colours in that respect.
review
Thunderor - Bleed For It
March 13, 2026
Musically there is no other way to describe THUNDEROR than as a band that has their ducks In a row. Even though they change direction ever so often, they do make themselves sound very coherent.
review
Virtue In Vain - Nothing Is All I Am
March 13, 2026
“Nothing Is All I Am” is an EP that should make VIRTUE IN VAIN come out smelling of roses. I am simply wondering why no record company has p[icked them up and given the time, space and opportunity to grow under their wings. If you ask me, this deserves to be heard worldwide.
review
Neckbreaker - Mental Void
March 10, 2026
Bay Area Thrash Metal from Chile. Is that possible? Well, yes, it is! You only have to listen to the debut album of NECKBREAKER, who hail from Santiago, in order for you to admit that “Mental Void” does contain music that is from that specific area.

Starbenders – The Beast Goes On
March 9, 2026
This was a solid album, containing a diverse set of songs with different themes while still maintaining the high level of energy that comes with the genre. It’s a retrospective and sentimental sound that keys on the pulse of the radio during that time.
review
Black Idol - Woes Are Legion
March 9, 2026
I am quite a lapidarist when it comes to the musical jewels of Serbia.
review
Lantlos – Nowhere In Between Forever
March 8, 2026
You may ask yourself, why is this band signed to Prophecy Productions, a largely Metal label, when this music is pretty far away from that label? The answer is, of course, because they can. Prophecy Productions has always been able to find artists like Markus out there, and they don’t really care about genres. Just listen to the album, and you will find secret boxes that have gold hidden in them, overflowing with pleasing melodies. On the first warm day of spring in NorthEast Pennsylvania, this album is just the panacea that I needed today. Simple, but exquisite
review
Bite Down - Violent Playground
March 8, 2026
If songs don’t have to make sense to you, but need to be filled with as much noise and distracting sounds possible, you should give BITE DOWN a go. Who knows, “Violent Playground” may be just your thing.

Crouch – Breaking the Catatonic State
March 5, 2026
In sum, the album has an air of confidence about it, as if the trio doesn’t give a fuck whether you like it or not. It’s dirty…no, filthy even, with a soul that has turned black. The album won’t only move you on an emotional level, but also a physical level. It’s raw, cold, and primal.

The Pat Catalano Project - Paper Crowns
March 4, 2026
Every once in a while a band comes out of nowhere and completely blows you away exactly like in the case of THE PAT CATALANO PROJECT, but now, thanks to METAL TEMPLE, the world will soon know.
review
Abstracted – Hiraeth
March 3, 2026
“Hiraeth” is beautiful, well balanced, but also with enough unsuspecting turns and breaks that every time you listen you can’t help but discover and/or hear something that you hadn’t noticed before. That to me makes a record a diamond in the rough, as you just don’t have a clue when the explorations will be complete.
review
Angus McSix - Angus McSix and the All-Seeing Astral Eye
March 3, 2026
There is no escaping the fact that ANGUS McSIX is using all the cliches that the Power Metal and Heavy Metal have produced in the last fifty years and formed them into songs that are as much Happy Metal as they are Power Metal.
