Temple of Dread - God Of The Godless
March 7, 2025
In a realm where darkness meets artistry, Florida’s
Temple of Dread
emerges as a formidable force in Death Metal with their latest opus,
God of the Godless
. This 2024 album is a masterful blend of raw brutality and atmospheric nuance—a journey that transcends mere nostalgia for the genre’s early days while simultaneously paying homage to its visceral origins.

SVNTH – Pink Noise Youth
March 7, 2025
This is not music that settles into one feeling; it is an album that lives in the tension between them, where grief fuels rebellion, where pain and resilience are inseparable, and where every song feels like a battle between destruction and redemption. In the end, it does not leave the listener broken, but neither does it offer false comfort. It does not promise that everything will be okay, but it does promise that the struggle is worth something. It is an album that carries both the weight of sorrow and the fire of defiance, the burden of grief and the light of something that refuses to die.

Serenity In Murder – Timeless Reverie
February 24, 2025
“Timeless Reverie” is a multi-faceted album with many different layers. It is mainly a symphonic and melodic Death Metal album, where the guitars and the orchestral arrangements drive a characteristic and unique sound, all kept very well together by an excellent vocalist, who gives the album a different dimension

Destroyers of All – In Darkness We Remain
February 19, 2025
This was an excellent album. The band keep true to their aggressive roots but were able to mix in several other elements to keep their sound fresh. They are also accomplished musicians that execute with confidence.
review
Mastord – Lemmon Lintu
February 17, 2025
This was a solid listen for me, but too many of the songs fell into the same somber category, and I would have liked to have heard the band take a few more chances, maybe some change of pace songs even. I enjoy somber music, but this was just a bit too much.

Frogg – Eclipse
February 16, 2025
The band is immensely talented, and their musicianship registers off the charts. Some constructive criticism? Some of the songs sound too sterile and technical for me. The little snippets of melody are very well done, and if they would let some of them linger a little longer, they would have more of an impact. Still, this is an album that every Metalhead should hear, for the technical brilliance alone.

“To quote Step Brothers, it just feels good 'to make beautiful music for a sad world.'" - Sami Wolf, Moon Wizard
January 26, 2025
Moon Wizard is a Stoner/Doom Metal out of Salt Lake City, Utah. After three independent albums the band caught the attention of Hammerheart Records who promptly signed the band and re-released their third album, "Sirens," in January 2025 to wide acclaim from Brazil to Sweden to Australia. Gary Hernandez, writer and editor for Metal Temple, recently caught up with guitarist Aaron Brancheau and vocalist Sami Wolf to discuss the band’s origins, their evolution, and future plans.

review
Blazemth – Gehenna
January 17, 2025
This album wasn’t a total loss, but the band has to find a way to put some distance between them and other bands in the genre. Black Metal’s boundaries are endless, but they chose to stay within specific confines.

Gutter Bones - Tales from the Bones
January 9, 2025
The old mix between Heavy Metal and Hard Rock never gets old, and this German quartet is a living proof of this idea.
review
Jinjer – Duél
January 8, 2025
Their sound is indeed unique, and as a band they are a juggernaut, but through all of the time shifts, airier passages, methodological performances, and downright crushing elements, I am left with an album that I just didn’t like as much as I should have. No one can deny the band’s musicianship, but I found the album to be difficult to digest, and to enjoy.

Moon Wizard - Sirens
December 30, 2024
Pro tip for this album: Headphones are a must. And not that crappy pair that came with your phone—I’m talking noise-cancelling, over-the-ear bad boys that will immerse you in the liquid smoke that is MOON WIZARD.

Residual Self – Reseed
December 29, 2024
Although this sound is not my usual cup of tea, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the album. The music is simple, but its groove is quite catchy, and the band combines the best of what both Punk and Hard Rock have to offer. Hop on this ride and just enjoy the journey.

Twisted Mist - Gehenna
December 15, 2024
I was a bit leery about Death Metal and Folk being mixed. The melodic tendencies of Death, however, make the pairing surprisingly compelling. “Gehenna” by TWISTED MIST. Strongly recommended for Pagans and Judeo-Christians alike.
