Vanishment – And Now We Die
February 22, 2026
“And Now We Die” offers an interesting mixture of Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal. The highlights of the album are the guitar riffs and the solos
review
DeathAssault – DeathAssault
February 10, 2026
What I do know is that when DEATHASSAULT tones it down a bit, even becomes a bit of emotional in their approach, "DeathAssault" sounds a lot more intense and sincere. When the singer then puts on his clean vocals, you feel that you have entered a whole other world.
review
Equilibrium – Equinox
February 3, 2026
When I saw this on the to do list of METAL TEMPLE, the combination of musical styles had me intrigued. That is why I requested this review as mine. I like some Metalcore, just as I love some Folk Metal, but they have to get it right to get me really going. The question that I will be asking myself here is whether EQULIBRIUM has the ability to mix them in such a way that it will blow me away.
review
Red Sands – Evocations
February 2, 2026
As far as “Evocations” goes i believe that this band is at tis best when they let their Metal hearts speak, with or without Symphonic and/or Epic elements.
review
Lost in Existence – Atonement
January 20, 2026
It’s that contrast that keeps the music alive and energetic. I could do without the “bleghs,” but it was a solid listening experience for me. They have the talent and the vision…for next time, I would take a few more chances to help create that distance from their peers.
review
Phasma – Purgartory
January 16, 2026
Controlled chaos is what I call the album. It teeters on the very edge of the precipice of just falling over into the black hole and disappearing forever, but somehow the band manages to maintain control. Much of the music is weighted, aggressive, and intricate, and the vocals reign down continually like a storm of fists on your head. It’s a very disturbing death…the kind that ends completely bloody. How can you control something that is literally out of control? Ask PHASMA.
review
HyperioN - Cybergenesis
January 7, 2026
HYPERION isn’t the next band to take over the world, but they are a band that has the ability to please and entertain a lot of (mostly) old fashioned Metal fans with the music they have provided us with on “Cybergenesis”. And because they have been able to provide the record with a very clear, transparent, but above all contemporary sound, a lot of the young Metal afficionados might be quite willing to not only give this a go, but also their sign of approval.

Stargazery - Carnival Puppeteers
December 30, 2025
I think there are enough people around to really appreciate what STARGAZERY plays in the 53 minutes that make “Carnival Puppeteers”. Oh, and look out for the two covers, from DIO and DEF LEPPARD. they are quite alright...
review
Sedna – Sila Nuna
December 9, 2025
This is an album that is not about a specific genre…it’s about a world of possibilities. The experience is very personal, such that the listener can decide for themselves how it makes them feel. For me, it was a reminder of some of the mistakes I made in life, and in my innate ability to move past them. The darkness is there to serve you in whichever way you choose…good or bad.

X Factor 1's Markus Lachendro "Character over reputation. It's a core belief of mine now for sure. I don't care what anybody else thinks. That's what I think about how I carry myself is just be yourself."

Blindfolded and Led to the Woods – The Hardest Thing About Being God Is That No One Believes Me
December 2, 2025
To summarize the album, in addition to the chainsaw intensity and its bruising, take no prisoners nature, I love the shifting pacing. It can take off like an errant rocket or slow to a dangerous crawl. The latter moments are most frightening, because they give you more time to think and to consider what lies in front of you. Even in the best of circumstances, love can sting like a scorpion. Maybe all of us have a little serial killer locked up inside us somewhere.

Blizaro - Light And Desolation
November 29, 2025
The world is a wonderful place, where a lot of interesting things happen. Some of those will enthral you, while others will disappoint you. The fact that you never know beforehand which is the case, you get and embrace the surprise. Well, that is definitely the case with BLIZARO, a one man band from Rochester in the state of New York.

“We didn't have examples; we didn't have any references to follow.” - Monika Chrościelewska, CZART
November 20, 2025
CZART is an experimental metal band hailing from Poland. The concept behind their debut album, “Czarty Polskie,” has been controversial not only for the AI debate but for the many references to Polish demonology. On All Hallows Eve, Gary Hernandez, writer and editor for Metal Temple, caught up with members of CZART to discuss everything from AI to the reasons why metal resonates so much in Poland to whether we are living in the best of times or the worst. Most importantly, they discuss the beloved CZART goat.
review
Jletylishie – Alvorecer De Última Hora
November 19, 2025
This is Black Metal at its most hasty, restless, and breathless, and an album that never stands still, never settles, never lets you fully catch up. The album’s real triumph is how it merges two emotional forces rarely balanced this well: wonder and urgency. The melodic passages make you look upward in awe, while the relentless pace pulls you forward, heart racing, as though you’re chasing a revelation you can almost grasp.

Decrepit Altar – Egregious Defilement
November 2, 2025
Three songs were just enough for me as a reviewer to taste what the band is offering here. There is very little melody, and plenty of dissonance. The instruments work well with the deep guttural vocals to provide a cold, sterile landscape of both hopelessness and nothingness.
review
Malepeste – Ex Nihilo
November 1, 2025
The declarative, symphonic ending of the album brought a note of majesty to it, and I would like to hear more of it. The album offered plenty, including aggression, somberness, and outright hopelessness. The French always have an impressive twist in their music, and this album is no exception.
review
Gorycz – Zasypia
October 29, 2025
This is an impossible album to pigeonhole into a specific genre. Darkness is really the only constant, and it’s pervasive. I also appreciate how the band lures in the listener with semi-jovial tones only to slice your throat clean through. It’s a unique, but very troubling sound.
review
After Earth – Dark Night of the Soul
October 22, 2025
For me, the album’s fairly straightforward sound did diversify a bit towards the end, and the band showed they are not a one trick pony. Excellent musicians, their sound just needs a bit of experimentation and diversity to go from good to excellent.
review
Feather Mountain – A Liminal Step
October 16, 2025
This was an excellent album, with a varied approach to each song. The band are consummate musicians, and they hit every nuance and nook and cranny in the music with impeccable timing, The music sometimes took unexpected turns at times, but always kept me engaged. I can’t help think more about how they described the album…”a magical antidote in a world full of chaos,” because that’s how the sound came across for me.
review
Sterveling – Sterveling
October 15, 2025
The tension on this album is through the roof, and they throw all Black Metal convention out of the window to build something different in the genre. It’s bold, daring, and cold, as any lightless journey should be.
review
Wehmut – III: Frühling
October 15, 2025
This album takes the listener on a journey that is sometimes rocky, and other times calm, and mirrors the seasons of your lives. Torture, anguish, and feeling like you want to jump out of your own skin are common, yet through it all, a string of hope remains threaded into the album. It’s moving, cathartic, and satisfying in the end.
review
Fäust – Crypts of Eternity
October 10, 2025
Considering that this entire album was composed and performed by a single musician, it gives the listener some gravity to consider. The songs were well composed, and the aggression was held in check at times in order to let somber melodies enter. This was a solid release.
review
Henret - Depths Below
October 5, 2025
HENRET doesn’t waste a moment when starting in trying to blow you off your socks or out of your chair. The amount of noise, the level of intensity and the amount of anger and mountain of frustration that is being vomited over you by means of your speakers is undoubtedly of the highest level that I ever have experienced.
review
Saüc – Catarsi
October 2, 2025
SAÜC have made a very decent and solid attempt with “Catarsi” and should be able to attract the attention of a lot of the traditional Heavy Metal enthusiasts as well as those who are not afraid of something new.
review
Death Has Spoken – Elegy
September 30, 2025
This was a dreadfully delightful album, and the sheer weight of the songs, infused with supporting emotion, leaves the listener feeling drained, and hopeless. It was an intense listening experience, in terms of each song piling on more and more burden on your already frail back. Take a trip into the desperate mind of “Elegy (a poem of serious reflection, typically a lament for the dead)” and you will see what is on the other side.
review
Tuesday The Sky – Indoor Enthusiast
September 29, 2025
It’s hard not to compare Jim’s solo work with the work of FATES WARNING, and I do seem some parallels. Like the infamous Progressive band, some of the songs are more about the ambiance than sonority and riffs in your face. This gives you pause to think, and reflect, and those are the top two qualities I took away from the album.
review
Outlaw – Opus Mortis
September 18, 2025
The best part of the album for me was their raw energy and their commitment to their trade. They fired up the engine, ran them until they were dry, and kept running them until they crumbled. This is aggression at its finest.

Drofnosura – Ritual of Split Tongues
August 31, 2025
This was an album that will wear down the listener, even those with a great constitution, to the point where the burden on your back grow so large, it crushes you under its weight.
review
Ritual Mass – Cascading Misery
August 27, 2025
Although the album was mostly within the Death Metal genre for me, there were some Black Metal elements present as well. I found the album to be exactly as advertised…a slow march towards death, and the filthy production contributed to this feeling.
review
Novembers Doom – Major Arcana
August 19, 2025
In every way, this was an good album, and seeing that it is the band’s twelfth release, they did play it a bit safe. I get it…fans get used to a certain sound and that is what they want, what they expect. I’m not asking the band to shed their skin completely, but a taking a few more small chances might help the album to stand out a bit more.

Hasard – Abgnose
August 10, 2025
If this isn’t one of the most terrifying albums you have ever heard, you may want to pay another visit to the cemetery at night for comparison. All of the ghost, specters, and things that go bump in the night are nothing compared to the visual that this album creates…you may never sleep again.
