S.I.N

After the fall of communism in Poland, it took some time to breed a Metal scene in the country, but when it came, it created a tradition: Death/Black Metal from Poland has a trademark sound, some personal features of bands from those lands. Let me tell you: VELD is a trio of Death/Black Metal maniacs that come to explode your ears into pieces with their latest release, "S.I.N.". Furious and heavy and a mammoth, they share some similarities with HATE, KRISIUN and many other bands with such musical approach. But don't have the wrong idea: under this oppressive and brutal mass of aggressive extreme Metal, there's an intelligent mind, conceiving fine musical arrangements, and a very good technical insight that guides the band (especially from bass guitar and drums). But their musical work sounds as solid as a mountain of granite, and the energy that flows from the songs is really something aggressive and tasteful. It's very good, and has personality.
On the sound quality, the main secret of their musical work: the instrumental tunes. They were chose to sound in a mid-way between the brutal tunes from Death Metal with a clear aesthetics, so everything can be understood. Be ready, because this recording made their music sound as sick and oppressive as it needs. Believe me: they know how to use it, so prepare your ears. So, get ready, for the slaughter is on. The album is really very good, and songs as the bone crushing impact of the bass and drums work on "Grand Day of Demise" (a massive energy flows from the speakers, with very good tempo changes) and on "Everlasting Hate" (a bit more of strength on the drums, and my speakers would explode, and be aware of this massive assault of guitars), the slower tempos used to build the bitter impact of "Divine Singularity", the impact of musical violence exposed on "Perfecting Slavery", and the sharp grunts used on "Hatred Forever Dispersed" will testify on behalf of the band. But all songs are good.
It's a very good work from these guys, so be prepared for their massive musical assault!
