Third Sovereign - Perversion Swallowing Sanity album cover

Due the brutality and heavy hooking grasp, maybe the way Death Metal was done on the 90s is still a great reference on our days.

Yes, there are tons of band following the steps left by DEATH, OBITUARY, MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, BENEDICTION, CANCER, DEICIDE, and many others. And we could say that India is becoming a country where Death Metal scene is very strong. The new album from THIRD SOVEREIGN is a proof of my words. "Perversion Swallowing Sanity" is like a tutorial of how to do Old School Death Metal without being a carbon copy of the ancients.

Brutal, fast as the music demands, and slow and bitter when it's needed, they are really good, and besides the album doesn't presenting something new, it's heavy and powerful, and their music has a strong and aggressive personality. Prepare your ears and necks!

The sound quality is very good, and has an interesting feature on it: besides the band sounds aggressive and brutal (as a Death Metal band must sound, of course), the overall result is in a way we can understand clearly what they are doing, what the band is playing. They are good, but the only complain is about the tunes, because they could be done in a better way. But it's good as it is presented here.

It's a massive and aggressive attack, and their best shots are: the fast and brutal insanity called "Sarcophaga" (full of rhythmic changes and with excellent work from bass and drums), the explosive puke of brutal technique shown on "Living This Hate" (fast and grasping, with great guitar riffs and efficient solos) and on "Slaughtered Mankind" (with another show from blunt technique from the drums), the exhibition of Death Metal adrenaline that "Spawned with Guilt" shows (a fine work from the guttural vocals, and pay attention to the band's technical work), the bitter slow tempos on "Dark Black" (of course the tempos are not so slow all the time, but in every change, they show a pretty good work). But the entire album is really good.

Hear it, and enjoy a great pain in your ears!
