Black Metal is one of the extreme Metal styles that allow the bands to create new forms of playing it. Since the SWOBM arose in the beginning of the 90s, Black Metal itself brought different sub styles. Some of them with an experimental approach that would make the puritan fans to become really astonished. In other worlds, Black Metal has on it the special feature of allowing bands to experiment new and different elements. One good name to show it to us all is the English band TERRA, from Cambridge (the same land where Isaac Newton created the Physics you all study). This is their second album, "Mors Secunda".

This trio really fuses different elements on their Black Metal form. You'll detect touches from Drone and Post Rock, as well as some nasty and raw moments from Stoner Rock/Metal. They really are talented, with incredible amounts of somber energy and introspective dense atmospheres, with great emphasis on the instrumental parts. The sound quality is what we could expect from a Black Metal album: dusty and raw, but with the needed clarity. Yes, it's aggressive and somber, but there are no problems on our comprehension of what they are up to with their work.

Their work is really excellent, but to some fans, to hear two songs with such a time span could be difficult. But they use good time changes to break our initial point of view. So, when you get used to the climatic and extreme "Apotheosis" (that show very good and raw guitar riffs), and the nasty experimental atmosphere of "Nadir" (showing some broken tempos and very good work from bass guitar and drums, and on it, the vocals are more present than on the previous song), you'll have the clear idea that you're in front of a great revelation of Black Metal.

But on the next release, use more songs, please!
