During the end of the 80's and the beginning of the 90's, Industrial Metal and Folk Metal were born as separated Metal genres. But as the evolution causes fragmentations to create new Metal genres, it can act in the opposite way as well, as a bounding force to create fusions. So to hear a work as "Die Tanzwut Kehrt Zurück", the latest album of the German sextet TANZWUT isn't only unexpected, but it's a great experience as well.

Explaining their music with few words: it's a well-balanced blend between SKYCLAD and OOMPH! (the two creators, the first from Folk/Medieval Metal, and the second from the accessible approach of German Industrial Metal). But one thing must be stated clear: without a shadow of doubt that the sextet shows a great personality in their music, because bounding together elements from two different Metal/Rock genres in the way they do isn't an easy task, and the energy and accessibility of their music is amazing, as well as the care with the instrumental arrangements, in a greater part paid on keyboards/electronic effects parts and bagpipes. It's catchy, fresh and full of life, so what are you waiting for to dig into the album? The production of "Die Tanzwut Kehrt Zurück" is excellent. All was done in a way that all the musical elements of their music could be clear to the listeners with the right effects on each musical instrument, but being defined as well.

It's a great experience to taste such album, and its 12 tracks are all excellent. But the powerful Industrial Metal blow called "Die Tanzwut Kehrt Zurück" (the contrasts created by deeper parts with amazing Industrial crescendos is excellent, allowing the vocals to use a very good expressive form, a live hit, indeed), the clear accessible hooks shown on "Feine Menschen" (very good guitars and keyboards) and "Pack" (it's that song to hear, enjoy bear and to embrace the Metalhead at your side and sing along, with excellent vocals, including Saltatio Mortis as special guest), the Medieval/Folk appeal of "Die Geister die Wir Riefen", the pure Industrial Rock song "Johann" (excellent work on bass guitar and drums), the funny and charming "Auf Messers Schneide" and "Berlin", and "Virus" (a mix between two sides of their music, and the title says everything about its lyrics) are the ones that states what this album stands for.

TANZWUT is really a great band, and maybe "Die Tanzwut Kehrt Zurück" can show a turning point on their career towards a higher level of commercial praise by the public.
