Running Death - The Call Of Extinction album cover

And Germany again brings to us another good new name in RUNNING DEATH, a quartet based on Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, that comes with their second EP, "The Call of Extinction". And this EP shows a band that really deserves a Full-Length.

Yes, it's Thrash Metal in Bay Area purest essence (in the vein of "old" TESTAMENT) and nothing really new at all, the formula was used many times before, but it's good and has a charming sound to our ears. Normal vocals just a bit harsh (in a "Kilmisterian" way), very good guitar work (the riffs are fine and the solos show very good melodies), a well worked rhythmic basis. Bringing all these elements along, and you'll got a very good music, and still aggressive to put all those neighbors to stay away from you.

Good sound production, with all instruments in their places (besides it could be better), the art is good, so take great care when dealing with this EP. It's ferocious!

All tracks are very good, but you can take as the better ones "Killing for Gods" (a mid tempo attack, with bolting guitars riffs in great riffs and charming vocals), the excellent and slower "Celebrate Your Aggression" (bass and drums doing a fine work here), and "Hunting for Heads", but do not throw away the others. They're fine as well.

A great work, so let's hope their album is coming this way.
