And the Swiss quintet PŸLON is back, with their sixth album "Homo Homini Lupus", always keeping a good mix between Doom Metal on the vein of bands like TROUBLE, WITCHFINDER GENERAL and (of course) BLACK SABBATH with traditional aspects and melodies.

Of course the style is somewhat rusted by the great number of bands trying this road from some time to now, but you can hear and fell they're still doing a great and fine job. Good vocals, solid guitar riffs with good arrangements, bass and drums balancing perfectly weight and technique, so you can expect a slow and heavy music, with good melodies.

The sound production is in a good level, so hearing their music is very easy, but sometimes you feel that the production could be a little better in terms of sonority, for in some moments, you can have the feeling of being "hollow". But it's not a great trouble to worry at all.

Their finest moments: "Crowned" (frankly, this is a traditional Heavy Metal song, with great drums and energetic guitar riffs), the heavy and long "Al Ha'Har"  (what great vocals and guitars!), the melodic and heavy "Ils se Donnent Du Mal",    the funeral dirge march called "The Curse of Eden", and of course their version of SLAYER's "South of Heaven", with Tim Gaines as special guest (I personally think he is the bassist from STRYPER, but not sure of that).

A very good work, indeed.
