Well, to create a brutal and aggressive form of music is not a trial anymore. Since Death Metal's second wave started on the beginning of the 90s, and bands as MORBID ANGEL (with their third album, "Covenant"), KRISIUN, NILE and ANGELCORPSE started going into a more brutal, fast and oppressive way than the previous bands. But some prefer to do something brutal in a more traditional way, not being as fast or oppressive as these names, and not with a technical overdose, as other brutal bands offer. And on this way, a good name is from Italian trio PSYCHOTOMY that arrives with an EP, "Antimonia".

Of course, some speed and technique is presented by these guys, but as Big Daddy here told above, not as some bands usually do on these days. But some piggish screams are here, as well as some elements from Brutal Death Metal, but this EP is not an overdose of these features. It's clearly simple to understand and assimilate, but it doesn't mean that the band is not good. They are, indeed.

Their sound production was done in a way that it keeps the brutality of their music. Of course a good level of clarity is presented, so the rawness of their work stays only on the music itself and on the tunes (but some of them are rawer than the necessary, especially on the guitars sometimes). It's good, but could be better.

Their songs are not so long, so they won't bother you in any moment.

"In Dissolution" is fast and furious, full of Thrash Metal elements and good technique on guitars. On "Reticence", we can find some slower and bitter moments, with a good show of technique from the drums. "Neglected Entropy" shows some Groove technique in the middle of the aggressiveness, with a very good work from bass and drums once more. The same elements of the previous song are presented on "No Guilt, No Loss", but with a better work on vocals. And "Epidemic Cerebral Sterility" presents some good and slower moments, where the band's work gains more weight, and their riffs are really very good.

These guys have talent, but needs some improvement.<
