A charming mix between classic Hard Rock with Progressive Rock and lots of Psychedelic feeling is what the Finnish band MONTAGE is about with their first album, self-titled.
And for a first coming, of course they're doing a fine work, showing a good and charming set of songs, with very good vocals (the tunes are fine and diction is perfect), good guitars, rhythmic basis correct and strong, and lots of excellent arrangements of keyboards. And besides the 7's feeling fills the album from its beginning to its end, it's not something full of mold or outdated.
The sound production is very good and clean, making all instruments sound the way they must, with lots of energy.
Their best songs: the charming and complex "Trapeze" (where the vocals sometimes really are not fully compatible with the song, but the guitars and drums are fine), the lovely and elegant "Misty High" (the vocals are pretty fine here, the keyboards are great, and the song dynamic and feeling are great), "Reborn Identity" and it's bluesy feeling, and the long and tender "Strawberry Skies" (what a great song, with great guitars and rhythmic basis).
Besides they're not doing the eighth wonder of the world, it's very good, and deserves a careful listening.
