For those who don't know, the musical style that we call AOR was born in the second half of the 70s, with a great amount of musical accessibility, grandiose keyboard parts (sometimes, being superior to the guitar parts), very good vocals, and solid rhythmic kitchen. Of course, the refrains are extremely charming and catchy. There's the politics about if it is a Rock/Metal style or not (due the fundamentalists guys and girls in Metal, especially those from the 80s), but the style shows great value and works in all these years. The Swedish quintet MISS BEHAVIOUR is a young band that has the style in its veins, as their new album, called "Ghost Play", is here as proof.

Following the steps of bands like JOURNEY (but without being a clone) that mixed AOR conception with a Hard Rock insight, the quintet created an excellent album, filled with great musical ideas that allowed the guys to build a charming and melodic work, with great choruses and keyboards parts, but the guitar sound is extremely listenable (and tasteful), a good technique shown on bass guitar and drums' works, and excellent vocals. Their songs sound lovely throughout the entire album. The sound quality: it's excellent. Personally, we can't point to a weakness anywhere, because it is clear and has that essential dose of dirtiness and weight. Everything is in its due place, and every musical arrangement is clear.

Twelve very good songs are what await us all. But as their best shots, we should mention the charming energy from "Friendly Fire" (with an evident dose of weight on the guitar riffs, but without losing the whole accessibility of it, and what a lovely chorus), the heavy weight of bass and drums on "The Magician", the easy melodies from "Pain and Passion", the very good chorus and harmonies from "Savage Heart", the wild AOR energy that flows from "Never Say Never" and "Night Moves" (this one with excellent vocals once more), and the heavy guitars on "All Eyes on You" (this one reminds a lot something from the quartet FIREHOUSE on their earlier works). The only "mistake" of their work is the excessive number of ballads. The rest is excellent.
