Mind Driller - InBolution album cover

As always, it's hard for old Metalheads to accept the new trends and genres that Metal brings with its evolution. It's not a new feature at all, because in the 80's, older Metalheads couldn't deal with Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Black Metal; in the 90's, the same ones from the 80's became older and couldn't face Industrial Metal and new forms of Death Metal and Black Metal with good eyes. But as written above, the new movements on Metal always cause such reactions. But one thing must exist: the respect for the new generations. And only having this way of thinking in mind anyone can face a work as "InBolution", the new release from MIND DRILLER.

Their music can be faced of an evolution of Industrial Metal, far from the chaotic works from MINISTRY due its melodic and accessible appeal, but it's not as easy to be swallowed as works from RAMMSTEIN and LINKIN' PARK. It's modern and abrasive, with that Industrial impact, with tons of weight on the heavier parts, but the contrasts with catchy melodies and choruses is really a great feature that they use wisely. Tender and really charming, but with heavy doses of aggressiveness in some parts, it's really a very good work, indeed. The production conceived a sonority that is modern and abrasive, with many programmed parts and keyboards. So it means that the musical contrasts can be heard and understood without any problem. It works in a clean way, to be clear, but bearing that essential dose of weight.

It can be said that "Prophecy", "Overthrow" and "Denken" are songs with many heavy parts with massive energy and charming melodies, so the shifts between both aspects of their music are amazing. "Calling at the Stars (Caos Remix)", "The Game (Covid Remix)" and "The Last Drop (Explosion Remix)" are (as its the titles state clear) remixed versions of some of their songs, a tradition on Industrial Metal, and maybe to be more accessible for a broader public. And there are three instrumental versions for "Prophecy", "Rotten", and "The Last Drop", maybe to be used for karaoke, but they allows the listeners to hear how they work in a very good way their musical arrangements.

All that's left to say is that MIND DRILLER is really an excellent band, and that they can beat many names of success due their young and savage energy. So listen to "InBolution" and enjoy.
