And from the Swedish underground depths, comes another good name, MEGASCAVENGER, coming with their second full-length, "At The Plateaus Of Leng".

It's just the old and good Swedish Death Metal from the earlier scene from the end of the eights, but with some Doom Death Metal touches here and there, and the differential is some melodies emerging from guitars here and there, along with some great names from Death Metal scene singing each song. With this diversity of grunt vocals in excellent shape, great riffs and insane solos, bass with good quality, and drums with good technique, their music really has some charming moments.

Brynjar Helgetun made the mixing and mastering, so we assume that the principal duo (Rogga Johasson and Brynjar Helgetun) made the sound production, and its fine and heavy, but not tearing apart the comprehensibility of their music, so, it's a good point.

The greater moments: the more melodic and experimental "The Festered Earth" (great song, with some keyboards, great riffs and a fine work from Kam Lee, former MASSACRE, now BONE GNAWER), the slower "And Then the Death Sets In" (great drums and vocals, as SINISTER's Aad Kloosterwaard sings with all his lungs, as well some riffs are wonderful), "The Mucus Man" (an aggressive and traditional song in Death Metal terms, even with some more climatic riffs, but what could we expect for some song with Martin Van Drunen, from ASPHYX, singing?), "When Death Kills the Silence" (a song more in a mid tempo, great drumming and vocals from Felix, from CREMATORY), and the more Death N' Roll feeling from "The Hand of Bereavment" (this one is with a more melodic and normal voice, with great vocals from NATIONAL NAPALM SYNDICATE's Ilkka Järvenpää).
