Lynam - Bombshell album cover

Well, first of all, I must say that I'm in love with the cover of this EP...

Then, I must say that the quartet LYNAM, from Birmingham, Alabama (USA) made a very good work on their newest release, the EP "Bombshell". Their main musical style could be described as a fusion of Gothic Rock aesthetics with some modern Industrial Rock influences used on a Hard/Glam Metal format. Obviously, there are those musically accessible moments for teenagers, but their music is really charming, with good choruses, and a fine work both on vocals and on instrumental parts. So you'll be hooked to their songs without salvation.

But with such good music, who wants to be saved? The sound quality is really very good. It's clear, heavy and modern, the perfect insight for their music. So you can hear and understand every single moment and detail that make their music really hypnotic to our senses sometimes, but be prepared for some nasty and really aggressive moments. Then, at least, we can speak about the EP's songs with a deeper vision. They are all pretty good, and the melodies are easy to be understood by everyone. The duration of the tracks is another good point, because they barely pass from three minutes, so it will not bother us all.

A fine work is heard on the vocals on "Bombshell" (with easy melodies, vocals and backing vocals shows an excellent work, especially on the chorus), the nasty and Industrial essence that transpires from "Flick My Switch" (very fine work from bass and drums, along with excellent use of electronic effects), the nasty and raw melodies from "Send You Back" (again with a strong scent from Industrial Rock, and good arrangements on guitars), the nasty and hooking melodies used on "Worst in Me" (again, great guitar parts can be heard), and the modern Rock influence that comes from the harmonic structures used on "What's Left?" are what the quartet offers, and they are pretty good. You must take this offering! A fine EP, but I'd like to hear an album from them in the future (and I want the phone number of the model on the cover as well).
