Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome
Lesch-Nyhan
Wow, these guys are nasty and cruel!
An ancient band from Broomall, Pennsylvania (USA), LESCH-NYHAN is up to make some ears bleed with their Demo "Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome" that came to the light last month.
It's just a mix between Death Metal and Grindcore, something we saw many times before, but the band has a feeling that a few have, something on it the makes their work sound good to our ears, a thundering music sounding as a whole, with great low grunts and some nasty screams, very good riffs (and noisy guitar solos), and a good bass and drums playing, creating a heavy basis, but with a good technique. So, ears bleeding and necks being broken are expected during the Demo playing.
The sound quality is not extremely good as it could be, but obviously it's clear enough to understand their musical work, to hear all the instruments clear. And to have this raw aspect is due their songs demands such quality to be in the way it must be. And no, you Ol' Big Daddy here isn't kidding.
Seven raw songs of the most pure Death Metal in the veins of the 90s, having their best moments on the short and explosive "World Destruction" (fast and brute, seeming something like old BOLT THROWER's albums, with good vocals' variations), the equally brutal "Septic Hole" (very good riffs, indeed, and some slower moments), the totally Grindcore puke "Bathed in Phlegm", and "Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome" (with some excellent slow tempos).
I think their work just needs a bit more of rehearsal to be a good promise. But for now, it's good.
