To make music on your own and to evade what was already done are the words that can define what 'creativeness' means into music. Many bands used to do it during the 70's, to gather a fan base (no one would pay for something that already exists on those days). So to be creative is a way to be noted in this tsunami of clones we are living today in all Metal genres. And the German quintet KAMBRIUM really shows it on their music, as stated by "Synthetic ERA".

Imagine a mix between Symphonic Metal with the use of harsh voices contrasting with cleaner tunes. Yes, it's different, because they're not an extreme Metal band (so the conception of Symphonic Death Metal or Black Metal is useless to define their work). But it's not the only difference. Even the band's melodies are different, the instrumental shows on their music some structural differences between the classic Symphonic Metal approach and their own insight. The best to do is to submit your ears to the experience, and to be taken by assault by their music. The production was done carefully to allow the band to have weight, what gives to the sonority a sensible sense of aggressive, but trying to keep the sound clarity for the ears of the listeners catch what they're trying to express. Obviously they can evolve a little more on this aspect, but the final result here is very good.

The brutal grasp imposed by the bitter and aggressive melodies of "Cybernetic Overload" (that shows very good contrasts on vocals, and a charming chorus with very good choirs and orchestration), the abrasive energy of "Shadow Construct" (very good work on bass guitar and drums, improving the weight, but using a very good technical insight to create a set of different rhythms), the massive use of good guitar riffs and keyboards on "Nature, Error: 404" and on "Holographic Satisfaction" (this one with very good extreme harsh voices), the epic insight used on "Synthetic ERA" (a song that lasts more than 10 minutes, what means that many different parts can be heard, and a very good use of keyboards and guitars can be heard on it), the natural-born Symphonic Power Metal song called "Nightly Beast Mode", and the extreme Metal evident influence heard on "Transcendence" are their best offerings. And all packed on a dystopian concept of a future where corruption and greed drove the humankind into a cybernetic/technological Hell.

Well, KAMBRIUM really amazes the listeners as much as it rears to "Synthetic ERA", so enter into it, and try to survive into this dystopian and new experience!
